  1. Dear AL Community, Just curios to find out if we can import personal used vehicles from GCC countries to SL. The 1st fact is yes the Arabs drive on the wrong side of the road (LHD- Left Hand Drive), however im planning to convert it to RHD if possible. Also heard that there is a permit given out to Sri Lankans working abroad to import vehicles, this would be an added bonus if it is the case enabling for duty consessions. I've currently bought a Mitsubishi Outlander 2014 Brand New here in Doha, it's almost 1/3 of the price of what's in SL. It's a 2.4L four cylinder it's a nice ride considering it to be a compact SUV, However has not much potential offroading capability though. BTW I've also test driven the 3.0L V6 GT, my word that deffinitely feels great but little costlier. Therefore my mind works on buying the 3.L V6 GT for self here and shipping out the (2.4L currently at hand) to SL for my family use. looking forward for your inputs.

  3. Dear AL Experts. I've recently purchased a FIT Hybrid RS (1,500 CC) with paddle shift its a JDM Y.O.M 2012 December and I'm loving it. It had clocked just over 6,800 KM when I Purchased it and currently has 9,000 KM on the ODO now. The General service (Engine Oil Change) with Oil filter replacement was done @ 7,600 KM. Inquisitive to find out when the CVT Gear Oil should be changed and on what intermediate should it be changed. Can you guys advise me on the type of Oil (Brand & Grade) which should be used and where is the best to get it done.
  4. Your query here is very Vague and not precise hence check your Engine Mounts and the Brackets of the Exhaust System.
  5. The reason for me to delay te ATF Oil CHange is because I was advised by the Service Station to check the gearbox out by a mechanic before changing the Oil or I will have to do it twice. Leaving bygones to be bygones I will be doing the ATF Oil Change as advised this weekend on priority, while at it will check on them mounts and clean the magnets + filters of the AT Gear Box. As for the Vibration it starts from front wheels, where i feel it on the steering, and thereon implying the whole car to vibrate. I've recently carried out a Wheel Alignment as well.

Hi Guys, I'm currently having a Subaru Impreza GC1, YOM 2000 (Basic 1500cc Auto) and currently having the following Issues with her and would like to get your professional inputs for resolution and appreciate if you could lead me to the correct Dr who could treat her: Vibrations at Speeds between 110 KMH to 125 KMH only (once 130 KMH reached vibration disappears). Takes a long time to fall into 4th last gear, tends to run on 3rd gear most of the time having the engine rev high and reduced fuel economy. She Gives a big jerk whilst shifting gears when I try to Rev Hard at once in case, when sudden pick up is required ex overtaking a bus / trailer. I was out of the country for 3 years and the car was used by my (F*****) In Law, and was in pretty bad shape when I came back. However I managed to bring her 80% back to life after a complete service (excluding ATF Oil Change), Engine Tune Up, and a few Touch up Paint works. There are no warnings, indicating in the dashboard neither whilst I scanned for Issues at my regular Garage. However the chap couldn't find fault for the above problems, therefore seek professional help from you guys.
