nuwanz replied to nuwanz's question in Car Buying Information
@mazda zoom Can you give me more details on the rexton? I really like the way it drives. Other than that I have no experience. I like to know about maintain cost, reliability.. I will use this as everyday / primary vehicle around town. I travels around 10 - 20 kms a day. Weekend 200+ kms travel. Do you think rexton will be a good fit? I won't do off roading. Just bad road in rural areas. -

Santafe 2008 vs Rexton 2008 vs CRV 2004 vs Rav4 2004
nuwanz posted a question in Car Buying Information
Need your expert help again. I'm upgrading my car after 05 years. The best SUV for daily use. What is the most reliable SUV for a daily drive. My previouse vehicle is swift jeeps model car. What will be the best reliable upgrade? Models I have selected Santafe 2.2 diesel (auto), Rexton 2008, CRV RD5, Rav4 2004.. Around 1000kms month. Mostly light traffic weekend 200kms travel occationaly. My budget is 6.5m.. I'm big fan of harrier 2002 V6 but only concern is very low fuel efficiency. -
Hello Everyone, I had to lower my budget due to a personal reason. Found a manual suzuki swift/ignis car in mint condition in fare price. Thank you for everyone who supported me in this journey.

Thank you. I started my hunt for a car. I will update soon as I found one. Not easy to find a good condition lancer went to few car sales no luck. Regarding checking the vehicle before buying what is the best way? Take a mechanic or scan vehicle? Also found a 1.5 Demio is it good compared 1.3 demio? Thank You, Nuwan T.

I went to inspect several vehicles in the last few days and found out what I like most. I wanted your opinion about buying one. Here is my list. + Demio 2007 + Fit GD1 + Lancer 2008 ( cs1/cs2) + Turbo Suzuki Every Van + Wagon R 2014 Demo - Reliability. Design and fuel consumption. As a bit taller guy I can sit comfortably there with good visibility. Fit GD1 - Good space, Fuel. No experience driving one. Lancer cs1 (2008) - Very spacious with good ground clearance. Also, like the simple clean interior. No idea about fuel. Suzuki Every Join Turbo - Biggest reason is big space in the back and can get a newer model. No idea about fuel or rideability. Wagon R - New, Spacious and fuel consumption. I like something with driving a pleasure, fuel consumption and space. Also something I can travel on narrow roads. Don't travel in heavy traffic. Mostly light traffic (20kms) And long trips. I already posted post before this and received good recommendation need this one to make a finalized decision. Thank You,

Don't like the pickup of wagon r are they same? 660cc turbo engine equal to 1000cc? Also checked cs1 very good space. Not a slow car either manual rides good. But unfotunatly not maintained well. Thank You matroska for comments. I will check Cruze again. The one I checked had bigger sheets. May be it's the reason for lack of space. when I sit on the driving sheet very less space for the rear passenger. This may also be caused by larger sheets. Thanks again for saving my time regarding the small cars. No experience regarding Bluebird sylphy circa 2002 I will add it to my list. + Lancer cs 1 + Sylphy circa

Hello experts, I'm regular reader in autolanka forum. I wanted to purchase a vehicle within a month of time. I travel - 15kms per day usually ( not in heavy traffic I'm working from home) - Weekly trip aroumd 50kms. - 1/2 times a month long trips aroumd 200-300kms. - For the long trips high ground cleareance is essential - Most of the time 2 to 3 people will travel - Right now I'm riding a motor cycle. - My budget is around 2 - 2.5million. - Looking for something fun to drive but do atleast 15kmpl in long trips. - I dont care weather its a wagon, hatchback, sedan, suv or a van if it is in my price range. Looking forward to see your valauble feedback. Thank you.

Hello everyone? What if Auto experts here can create a list(guide) of actual value of cars sold in SL. So It may help buyers and sellers to have some kind of guide when they buy and sell vehicles. Car buying and selling is getting very complicated...

Thanks, RVij The engine is Mercedes OM602, 5-cylinder diesel engine. Both vehicles I found is properly maintained. I refer 2006 Musso double cab version.(2wd) Other one is 1996 musso 4wd version. I've contacted micro and they said they will import any part. I will be using this as a mostly family trip vehicle. I consider this because plenty of space and ground clearance. + low price. Thanks, Nuwan T.

Hello experts, I'm bit confused about this vehicle. This jeep is rated positively.(4/5) in most websites.(UK, AUS) My relative in AUS also recommended it. But in Sri Lanka 99% people say don't even think about it! After a long search I found two vehicles in good condition. Any experiences with this jeep? Any reasons to avoid or buy? Thanks, Nuwan T.
