Greetings my friends. I have a mazda familia bj5p (japanese) 2000 manual transmission vehicle which has a stiff steering wheel. I checked the power steering rack for any leakage or anything but everything works fine. Mechanic said that its normal. Please suggest if anywhere I can diagnose this or is it normal in this model. Thanks simpleone for the reply. I was very keen on knowing the system in this. Many people also said that the rear wheels are being activated at your hard acceleration and then it automatically switches off in a while.

Well that means its All Wheel Drive system. Is it the same you call full time four wheel?? What are the main problems comes in these models?

Hi Guys. I own a Mazda Familia Bj5p 2000 manufactured year, AWD, 5 speed manual transmission vehicle. Comes with all 4 disk breaks. Does anyone know how the AWD system really works in this vehicle. Need to know what it really stands for (if its All Wheel Drive or Automated Wheel Drive?) and what are the benefits and negatives can expect from this vehicle. It does around 9.5kms per litre in citiy limits with heavy traffic and 10.5 or 11kms per litre in the highway and out station. Is that normal on a AWD vehicel?
