  1. this importer is new kid in the block. this this probably few of this first imports where he learned his lesson. i feel sorry for him.
  2. talking about the conversation from 4wd to 2wd is it a simple process of removing the axel? i thought ABS system works along the 4WD CVT transmission?
  3. The Don - My friend - Thanks for your comments. I am not sure if that is all possible to make it 2WD by just removing the axle rod? does that has any effect on the ABS systems?
  4. i should be able to negotiate the 4wd for about 3.25mil and 2wd of the same goes for 3.5~3.6mil. there is a price difference of about 4 laks - ideally 4wd should have been more. however, since people are refusing the 4wd, the dealer is trying to get rid of it fast for lower price. what i really don't understand is why people outright reject a 4wd?
  5. Thanks - This is a "X" grade. everyone says not to buy this car. says 4WD is not good for sri lanka road? ture? this 4WD really means "all wheel drive" (as per http://www.4x4abc.com/4WD101/abc7.html)? People gives following reasons as not to buy: 1. less efficient on fuel 2. not suitable for sri lanka 3. no spare parts it is priced at 3.3 and 2wd is going for at about 3.5~3.6 now.
  6. Hello Toyota Fans, I was looking for a Axio this weekend. I found a one "Toyota Corolla Axio NZE - 144" -- not 144 not 141. 2007 model with about 50K mileage. Dealer is asking 3.3million. Auction grade is 4.5 However, everyone says "no no" because it is 4FD. I was searching on google and wifi and found NO technical information about this model. What are your inputs? Best Regards Amila Tennakoon

  9. Hi All Don, Bluebird Slyphy is 2.7+, I checked about two cars. Is it worth that money? Options we get are almost identical to FB15. I was trying to get a car for cash with a max limit of 2.5 million. I can always lease the balance, but asking grunters to sign papers is the last thing I want to do so, if I lease 5-10laks, I have a budget of 3.5. But I am not too sure weather I want to invest 3.5 on a car - yet! Now, today I got a call from a friend who is trying to sell a Mazda 3 (Mazda Axela) done about 25,000km and maintained well. I heard it has a triptronic gearbox etc, etc. he is asking 3m - what’s the market rate of such a car? Milindu - I don’t mind a registered car also provided that it is in good condition Best regards Amila tennakoon
