Can remember we bought one brand new in 1994 on a permit. It was one of the nicest looking jap cars at the time.
Did a suspension overhaul engine overhaul (could have avoided it) and changed the engine mounts once other than that no other major repairs
It was a good car had reliable run for 8 years and 160 000km till we did an overhaul and sold it a little while later.
Mind You it was driven on bumpy roads and used to haul furniture and even cement bags. But still it did not trouble much.
Now those are close to 25 years old and you cant predict a 25year old car from the way it performed at 8 years.
