if u try disconneting ur car battery , might work. I had same problem and that worked for me.

I had a carens while ago, it's good realiable vehicle, buyt it not good on fuel. Mine did 7km per L. but comfort wise best. and one more thing, no dual a/c on this. plenty of spares available. no costly. maintain easy. interior not long lasting.

I think even i should say something, b'cause i drive a 406. I think comfortable and handling wise u can't compare with a carina. its no way near to 406. Maintain wise it bit expensive though. But if u maintain properly u get less problems. Even now a days spares also not hard to find. I think D9 is better than D8.

b'cause there are two kind of 406s. One u buy from Carmart ( D 9 ) brand new vehicles and other one used ones from Europe ( mainly UK ). Imported brandnew ones u won't see new number plates ( B'cause they don't make this any more . New One is 407 )

how about a diesel Suszki Vitara ( registered eng. number )or peugeot 307 petrol car ( i think u can buy a brand new for 4m ) Even freelander also very good comfortable vehicle.

I recently purchased a Peugeot 406 and I got a problem with mileage reader. This Model is 2002 BRAND NEW and it’s a digital meter type. On the meter it say 696,000 something. When I check with the CarMart, they said I have to replace the meter and ECU. It will cost hell of lot of money. Is there any other way I can get fixed this problem? pl someone help me. All I want do is reduce the mileage. ( Because Its real mileage is not even 100,000 Km )
