Many other designers have worked with the company, which has become the most famous design and concept car constructor of the present time. Pininfarina has been employed by many major car makers, especially Ferrari, Maserati, Cadillac, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Volvo and Lancia. The recent Peugeot 406 coupé was also styled by Pininfarina. Pininfarina designed two new and cute cars for Hafei, their Chinese patron. The two new cars, HF Lobo and HF Fantasy, were displayed at the Beijing motor show 2002. Machan...Rohit gave up the idea of racing MINI Vtecs due many reasons including existing local racing regulations.Infact he sold the car to another friend but continues with the project at his workshop but his friend will not be racing it,he is just a performance enthusiast.The front section is extended to accomodate the engine and awaiting loads of spares from UK ...so the project is halted now. We checked two MINI Vtecs in UK and the performances were absolutely amazing.Test drove against a race prepared EVO5 and you know the results.At dyno one mini showed 165bhp.But its pity that our regulations prevent MINI Vtecs race against supercars.

A clubman at a tag of 4 is a reasonable buy but all depends on body condition,interior,mechanical and regd and revenue licence updating.In my opinion a clubman with many extras including front disks alloys , ac and in perfect body trim and interior with good ICE is worth 4. but must frankly tell you that youll run into some degree of trouble selling a clubman as clubmans are not every mini enthusiasts favourite mini.some dislike clubmans for no reason,maybe the high engine capacity or the odd looking front. Whatever the case may be dont be in a hurry to grab a mini...go for a good buy ..play a waiting role ,i recomend a post 1983 Mini for you...and finally is it a 1250cc or a 1275cc?? please check on this with the owner. Cheers!!

you can do lots of things to enhance performance..starting trying a performance aftermarket cam.Kent or Piper..I recomnd a Kent 274FRi..I use the same.Not expensive as well.an uprated cluch,a minisprt manifold and exhaust.a light weight fly wheel...just to start with!!

Bro Milinda are u asking about a Cooper or a Rover Mini?? Must clarify a few things...Not every Mini minor is a Cooper Mini... Cooper Minis are very rare and expensive .Coopers have lots of John Cooper modifications added on production to engine and gearbox,suspension ,even to body panenls and cosmetics.My Cooper S ,I value at 1.2+ ...I have a friend values his at 1.5+. Frankly only a handful of authentic Coopers are in SL. Rest are just Rover Minis and late Mk4 Rovers .

Oh no !! a 1275SPi with 8.8Km/l is a nightmare...but its not a big problem I guess...Im only familiar with tuners north of colombo! Try Ajith of Roadstar Motorworks Seeduwa 0777383526.He is the best Tuner i ever know.Specialists in SPi and Tpi.

Its bit of a bitter experience happend way back in 1990.Though its not my fault ,it hurt me a lot as I hapend to damage my Fathers then favourite car a 1951 black Ford Popular.EL 8846. A reckless lorry driver came and smashed right rear end of the hatchback.Father never said anything or discussed about it and that hurt me a lot.I thought about that accident over and over for many days and still its a bad nightmare for me.I still recall the terrible noise. After the repair dad sold the car .Now he is making fun outa the accident telling everybody especially my wife how I demanded Rs 10000 from the lorry driver for a Rs 1500 repair job.

Power Auto Lamp is one recomended place..if no luck try Anthupitha motors (hope I got the name right) of Panchikawatte.aprx 20metres from Sumana Motors same side towards Armour Street. They have a good collection of lamps and lenses.I Bought front lenses for my Montego at a reasonable price from them.

In Mini one make event Dilshan Bandaranayake came first followed by Ajith Hemachandra a Hundred of a second behind and Wicky Wickramasinghe clocked the third fastest time!

exactly....why the concerned authorities and traffic police are late and reluctant to talk about this increasing menace. I have seen a few wearing helmets for their protection and rest gamble with their lives.

Well the fact is , SL rules permits mopeds or motorcycles under and including 49cc engine capacity to run without registration,helmets,insurence ,riding licence ,where as even bicycles need registration in SL.A stupid system of law heh?

The 49cc motorcycles becoming a real menace for all highway users and an increasing headache for the cops as the existing road rules are preventing moped users being punished or penalised ,allowing 49ccers become dare devils on highways. Cops are forced to put a blind eye on the road rule violating 49cc ers due to loop holes of our own laws. I strongly belive that local authorities must take quick and serious steps to protect lives of 49cc moped users and of others before this become a real social disturbance.
