Mr TGN Gamini is good but he is not into professional repairs! and his availibility is another quaestion.I honestly dont know about Mr Galhenas work,Because I only Take my fleet to Mr Ajith and Rohith. Mr Ajith is an expert with good motoring qualities.Have you ever tried his work?
-
Im sorry i dont know any relible mechanic down Colombo...the only person who did a satisfactory job for one of my minis in Colombo is Mr Weerakkody of Dias Garage Slave Island. He is not a Mini expert but he is a good Engineer and having good brainy mechanics. Can give more info on him! But I always recomend Mr Ajith Hemachandra of Roadstar Motors...its worth bringing your machine to Seeduwa (only 30mins drive from colombo). Any bodywork modification or paint work..its none other than Mr Rohith De Silva! I tried so many mechanics and ended up draining my wallet.Only these two did good for me.take my word! Ajiths brother Anil of Roadstar is handling my new MK6 now.Im more than happy, the way thing being done! Remember a Mini always needs a gentle touch of a good mechanic! never let abused! Cheers!

-
Must comment about Janaka...I noticed how hard he worked overnite to get his engine done soon after practices during last CMSC meet.A good choice MADZ! All the best buddy!
-

Yes Ajith is a very good race driver and Rohith is just amazing..the combination is crowd thrilling.. AJITH AND ROHITH INFRONT OF ROHITHS MINI MODIFIED

Ha ha then its high time for a serious father and son talk...convince him and rob his Mini...or else try another Mini. Well i think i should not talk about the Station wagon and converted EG8...coz im dissapointed...but the only way to come over the situation is introducing a mega machine with correct tuning and let them eat the dust!! Im sure 2006 is gonna be a hell of a season! In the Mini event its the same...No good challange to Ajith as well.He does good race lines and handling...when Rohit was there Ajit always settled second behind and in his absence things became boring. Its rumoured that Samantha brought down a UK tuned engine and so did Dilshan! Cheers!

well about nos..i tried a kit bought from Sohaine of xtreme but the limited space of engine bay due to oil cooler and my weber carb delayed the installation.Im awaiting a fresh one.limited buget hampers that too Yeah the night life down Ekala is happening good! this turned out to be a pre race tuning tests turned drags now! A mini race driver touched 150+ yesterday night!!! Gaya mate..dont try a 3 sri for Mini one make. class..you are about to make a very big mistake..instead try a post 1983 Mini model...take my word! tell you why when we meet! Cheers!
-
Guess what was the response....nothing but a big and the race driver awaiting a reply we are hoping for good toilets next time

A vetaran race driver in his letter to SLAS slams the conduct of last held CMSC Katukurunda races.few of his comments are posted here for the discussions. "The postponement of event was not notified officially to competitors & general public. The supplementary rules issued for the December meet did not refer to the original date of the postponed meet. The supplementary rules did not have any connection to the previous rules issued. This second set of supplementary rules had apparently not been approved by SLAS Committee." "The layed penalty for not attending the ‘compulsory’ drivers briefing as per CMSC letter of 9/12, and supplementary rules clause 30 said that not attending the briefing would result in the competitors grid position being moved down by one position. This rule was niether practiced nor non implimation was announced." "The Chairman of the Organizing Committee was a competitor. Possibly violating SLAS Rules / code." "Clause 6 of supplementary rules states that there must be minimum of 5 starters to run an event and if there are insufficient entries for an event to be run, the competitors in that event would be permitted to run in the next higher event. However this rule too was not adhered to as several events with less than 5 starters were run concurrently with other events, instead of placing these competitors to run in the next higher event as per the rule no.6." "The “Stop / Go” penalty board was covered by the spectators resulting in competitors not being able to see the board. Organizers had not made proper arrangements to have this penalty imposed properly. Although rules say stop / go is 5 seconds. It was not correctly adhered to." "Paddock sheds were constructed in a very flimsy manner resulting in several sheds breaking loose. The roof of the weighing shed collapsed. Insurance was not extended to cover these eventualities.." "The goose neck tyre fence was very weak, could not withstand the impact of vehicles on contact, Some of the skidding vehicles hit the tyre fence and tyres thrown on to the other side of the track where the cars were racing in the opposite direction nearly resulting in near on collision." "There were no toilets constructed for competitors or spectators." "The competitor numbers were not of correct spec. The stickers were tearing off due to water." "No official race programmes available during practice day and also on race day" "There was hardly any visible promotions of the meet. Newspaper articles on the race before and after are essential to promote motor races. No attempt was made to bring spectators." "The compulsory 30 minute waiting period after the postponement of the races for allowing possible protests was not practiced ..Not even race officials were seen after 15 minutes."
