  1. Brandnew model of Swift is from India.. I've heard bad comments about indian version of swift.. better stick with Japanese Recon Model.. Some say the Gear shifts like a bus (Like in Maruti 800) After couple of 1000 Kms..
  2. I've tested the toothpaste method too.. but it's not effective as Brasso (Which is a proven compound).
  3. One Of My Uncle's using this, he said fuel efficiency is very low on this.. but better ask somebody else too..
  4. Are you experiencing yellowish dull colored Headlamps? Here’s the Solution which is Simple, Easy and “Cheap”. What you just need is, • 1 Bottle of Brasso (Small Bottle would be enough). • Cleaning clothes. (For wiping purposes). Get one of those cleaning Clothes. And pour Brasso into it. Just wipe through the headlamp up to 20-30 mins. Don’t let brasso to dry on headlamp lens cover. When cloth is getting dry add more brasso to the cleaning cloth and wipe again, Hard as you can. After 20-30 mins of wiping, just let it to dry and move to the next lamp. Let both lamps to dry and after 5 mins of drying just wipe all the brasso left on Lens cover using a new cleaning cloth. Experience the difference. I have done this to my Corollas (121) Headlamps and now they look like new lamps. Worth a try guys.
  5. Using synthetics for 8000-7000 would be ok. more than that will cause sludge problems specially in Toyota VVTI engines.. thats what i herd from my buddy at Toyota. he said they've received couple of engines to Overhaul due to sludge buildup. it is advisable not to use synthetics on high mileage engines.
  6. Nilantha, What's Your Car's Engine by the way? is it a 1NZ FE?? and 20W50???? Isn't it bit too thick?? I asked from toyota and they said not to use any Cal** Brands cos they are having few issues with that engine oil. (Specially with VVTI Engines) even Toyota Advised me to use Mobil XHP.
  7. Guys if your about to Replace your Genuine Halogens with HID lights think twice Just Go through this Links carefully... http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=954736
  8. As far as i know The VVTI engines of toyota is having problems using Havoline. this i got to know from one of my friend who works at Toyota La***. he said that they'll receive couple of vehicles due to Sludge buildup using that Engine Oil.
  9. It's JDM version of the Scion xA (US Market). Toyota IST http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_ist Scion xA http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scion_xA
  10. Best way to get a HID kit is through eBay. I've got down a kit from my friend. it costs me around 5000/- this is for a Corolla. The Holder model for that one is H4. so if you wanna get down a Kit make sure your holder (H number) compatible with buying model. you can plug in directly into your headlight holder. it's a small Do-It-Yourself Job. (By the way, don't fool yourself to those cheap blue colored bulbs. these are just cheap Taiwan brand bulbs. those bulbs are worse than your Original Koito/ Stanley/ Phillips Halogen Bulbs. when time goes by the blue color will eventually faded away. n point of replacing you original bulbs with these cheap bulbs.)
  11. Yeah, most of the JDM market Vehicles come with Non FOB (The Transmitter, Buttons in key head not in the tag) types. so it hard to find a FCC number or any number. Don, did u ask the dealers (UML)?
  12. Thought of adding another OEM remote for my car... have you guys ever purchased new remotes from ebay ever..? i want to make sure these will work with my car.. but then again these ones for US market Corolla.. . i checked with the dealers they say it would cost around 16,000/- per key. you can get a OEM keys for like 2000/- from ebay. what do you guys think?
  13. Did u look at Wadduwa Eur** Nip** or Homagama Vikas** they've got quite a collection as far as i know! and you can check at Wijerama area too.

  15. If you're Driving in heavy traffic in colombo then theres no point of pumping 95 Octane to your car. things might change if you going outside long trips. i have experienced it in my car which is 1.8 Corolla (VVTi), you can get extra couple of miles pumping 95 Octane when you driving outside colombo. Driving In Colombo = 90Octane Long Distance = 95 Octane
  16. Guys i have Toyota Corolla 122 (1ZZ-FE Engine) 1.8 Liter One. I have goggled about which engine oil to be used in my corolla. most sites (Including www.mobiloil.com) says 5W-30 to be used on normal conditions? i don't know whether this will be changed according to regions? anyone guys?

  20. I think it's ok. Since that i replaced my Corolla's Instrument cluster with a black Background one. Mine is 2001 Corolla.. so it's got this White Background Cluster. it blinds my eyes when I'm driving at nights.. so thought of replacing it with a black one (2003 model got the black one). so wants to change the new ones meter reading.
