yup the 2nd one is indeed the new wrangler... this took place closer to galagedara (spelling?!) just beyond the bridge... there's a perera & sons branch opposite the descent to the field...

all i know is the RX-7 savana had a twin-scroll turbo... has more inlets to the turbine or something on those lines? don't know much really...

Hyper-CVT M6 is nissan's 6 speed tip-tronic gearbox... and yes it is the standard pulley and belt system... as you said it simulates 6 manual gears... no gears per se... the primera was first to get this gearbox... i'd have to say it's pretty impressive since CVT boxes weren't known to handle much torque at inception...

yeah ABS on those preludes was called ALB... and if i remember right, preludes are the only cars with completely mechanical 4WS... all newer cars are electronically controlled... anyways it's sad that he's given up on the car but i agree it's a practical option unless you're an enthusiast...

it's late but i have a good reason just a few pics from last saturday's rendezvous (14/10/06)... it was my first time out with these boys and i had an awesome time... excuse the quality cos i'm using a 2M cybershot and it's showing its age... the first wrangler to show up (manual 4L straight 6) first attempt to climb bank... fails... water creeps into engine through exhaust... second wrangler shows up (auto 4L straight 6) first attempt to winch stalled wrangler out of water fails due to fractured cable... eventually pull out by LR disco using a strap... defender makes new attempt to cross (the SLR in the background is handled by the official photographer of the 4x4 club) the rest of the pics will follow soon... imageshack doesn't like me very much...
