  1. Thanks Don, yes totally agree with you on it, also its my daily driver so I want it to be as solid as possible. Wasn't planning for a partial rebuild this soon, but its time i guess, so have to get the $$$ ready now
  2. That will be a great great great help H.C, if you still have the crank shaft please do let me know. I spoke to my garage guy and according to him, the crank shaft has to come out of the engine anyways, either to be repaired or replaced. I'm not sure how they are going to re-thread and how long it will last, so thinking about going with replacing the crank shaft, along with the crank pulley, key and the nut.
  3. Thanks for the replies guys. But my problem is a bit worse, seems someone has had a go at fixing so called the key issue before, and ruined it completely. The biggest issue being the nut which holds the crank shaft pulley in place is stripped along with the thread inside the crank it self. I guess that happens cos when u dont have the correct key in place. I was told tht this can be fixed by filling the crank shaft and re-cutting the threads, but i'm not sure if thts a proper fix or not, and how reliable that will be. Cheers!
  4. Hi guys, Not sure whether this has been discussed before, my car is a 91 Civic EG8 VTi. While I was driving to work today, heard a noise from the engine bay, and lost power steering immediately and got the battery charging warning lamp a little later. When i had a look under the hood saw the drive belts have come loose along with the crank pulley and i had to tow the car to a garage. Any ideas on whats the best way of fixing this, i heard tht if the crank thread is bad, may even hav to replace the engine. Any experience regarding this from EG8 owners here? Cheers!

  12. Thanks for the reply machan. It's D15A1 (1.5cc) engine. It's not a JDM model i think, according to the book it was brought down brand new. Manufacture year is 1987.
  13. Any idea where i can find the right one for my car. I search all over the net only managing to find the service manual for the DOHC EFI version of the same model, all the body parts are similar except the engine. I wont mind paying for the manual if it is the correct one for the car.
  14. Thanks a lot for the reply. You mean the service manual?
  15. It does actually when the car warms up, the number of times it stalls become less than the cold engine, but it still happens. I think it's a old school one bcos it has a manual choke (cable operated), but not sure though.
  16. I have a 87 Integra with a 12 valve carb engine. It was giving me problems from the day i got it. The engine doesn't idle correctly, it stalls most of the time when i take my foot off the accelerator peddle etc... I have also got the engine and the carb tune up done about 3 times for the past 6 months or so. But the problem is still there. I want to know who is the best on carb tuning, specially on Honda's so i can get this problem sorted out correctly. Thanks, Raj.

  22. Hi all, The windscreen on my 1987 Honda Integra got cracked from the passenger side top corner. Is it possible to find a original Honda windscreen or will a Honda Civic one from late 80's fit this model? Thanks..
  23. I'm looking to buy a Integra DA1 or a DA2, late 80's model. Does anyone know of a good one for sale? Thanks...
  24. Single light models are MC14(Bobby Sport) & MC17(Hurricane). (1987) Early Dual lights are Hurricane MC19. (1988-1989) Dual lights Gullarm is MC22. (1990-1993) Fireblade is also an MC22 (almost identical to gullarm). (1994-1996) *Bikes which were built in 1996 were sold in 2000 as brand new in Australia. So AFAIK the production ended actually in 1996. Hurricane / Gullarm - 45PS Fireblade - 40PS (Horse power was limited due to a change in japanese law). NC29 is CBR400.
  25. Congrats Darin!! Superb driving!!
