What Insurance Scheme Is Better V*P Or F****** P**

if i was ever hit & run i would chase afer the bugger even in a three wheeler or some otheer car, pull the a** out of his car and beat the crapmout of him, and make him pay for the damage frm his insurance, and my 3 wheeler fair frmo his pocket then &there.. reminds me of this one time... sometime last year ni borella there was a big scene hapening on the road witha bunch of people surrounding a MItsubishi L-200.. it was a fouled car-jacking... the theives (2) had got into the pickup pasenger side and behind the driver while at a traffic light, and assaulted the bugger thrown him out and tried to drive away... but some three wheeler drivers had stopped it.. one theif got into a bus and got away.. the other guy ran on foot.. he had been followed and had the crap beat out of him...cops came and took him in with even the fake lisence plates in hand... though the guy was still walking.. if you ask me the people should have beaten him up harder... he's just going to be out on bail in a couple of days and boosting cars again... and we KNOW he did it... maybe even break an arm or a couple of finger so that he'd never steal again.. thats one thing i admire in middle-east contries.. -
congrats man.. may you get a higher and highr number of posts

C******o is one of the worst Insurance companies around….you wont what they did with my dad’s jeep… One day he was on the rajagiriya road and right opposite the Rajagiriya Sathosa.. and this van (hiace-dolphin) comes wham into the back of the jeep (G.Vitara)…. The guy was speeding like hell.. and the reason… well apparently the van was one that was financed by Seylan Bank (or some other leasing company of C******o, cant remember now) to some guy and he hadn’t paid the installments.. and the people in the van when the accident happened were the Bank’s seizers…. And the van had been seized no more than 20 minutes ago.. The police came along and things needed to be done were done… on a latter date C******o came took a look at our jeep, and said they were sorry about it and not to worry that it wont be a issue fixing it.. and it wont be a issue since the insured vehicle (the van) is owned by one of their sister companies our claim would be honoured.. the quotation was sent to C******o and they approved it and sent it back to us and Brown’s (then Agents for Suzuki) did the repair and it cost around 150,000 bucks. And since everything was in order at that time, my father settled the bill with browns with the intention of reimbursing it from C******o.. and when we called ceylinvo after the repair they said give us a ‘day to process it, and we’ll get back to you’ 3 or 4 days go by, and still no news… and when we call them back they say “we’re sorry.. you’re a 3rd party affected by the accident and you’re not the insured party, and we pay only upto 15,000 for 3rd parties affected…” now this is coming from the same PERSON who assured us not to worry and signed and approved the repair very well knowing we weren’t the insured party... Now this shows that we cant take their own WRITTEN word… and when did this hapen you ask.... wel,l get this... December 2001.. and a case was filed And another deal.. a friend of mine has a A4 and with comprehensive… he once opened his door and a 3wheeler overtaking fron the wrong side ripped the door off… and the door had to be replaced… now obviously that car cant be driven without a driver’s door…. and the agent had said the door would have to be imported from Germany and that’d take over 2-3 weeks and to leave the car at the workshop till then… and when he went to C******o they say “well, the repair (of fixing the new door) is one day’s job so we cant give you ANY (let alone identical) replacement vehicle.. we cant help it if the agent doesn’t have a door…” now that’s just their quality of service… So it ell you don’t goto C******o…If you MUST get comprehensive goto SL Insurance.. -

ya if you are required to i guess its justifiable to get comprehensive. cos banks dont want to give a loann and have you crash the car condemed it and say "hey i dont use the car no more.. so i aint paying no bank loan" Hey, Whats the deal with the kidnapping? is the deal over now? who was kidnapped? ans was he/she returned? -
hey... spwaking of the Hemi engine, i remembered something i read a couple of months back.. when i first read it i was like "wow, this is going to be the hottest news in the off-roading scene for months to come... but suprisingly no-one bothered with it... the Jeep Hurricane ...it gave some masive torque and had 4 wheel steering... now how much cooler can a off-roader be... http://www.seriouswheels.com/top-2005-Jeep...ane-Concept.htm

well, then i guess you can go for Fire & Theft.... maybe a bit more but still beats the crap out of comprehensive , when it comes to paying premiums.... dimantha, machan, what do you drive? and how much do you pay as comprehensive insurance? and i too have worried about theft.... thats why i will never buy a car like a FB15 or a toyota corolla.. all those cars on the road look so alike you can steal one change the plates and drive it in colombo right past the owner's house and he wont even notice it!!! especially if you drive a silver FB15, guys put on a sticker or something that you can recognize the car with besides the lisence plates!!! -
but honestly i dont know if anyone would get the 5.7... think of it, that car isnt meant for speed.. and i reckon 90% of the people who buy them will be middle aged businessmen.. and i doubt it they's want to spend a couple of hundred thousand more to give thier drivers a more fun drive.. though i must admit the hemi's reputation is very tempting... if only it came in a more 'youth' vehicle

cool scene but when you DO go visiting, dont forget to take a camera btw, is the H1 registered?

Hey, just for us mebers to know about the insurance business, how about Everyone telling us what cars you drive, what insurance you're covered under and how much your premium is.. What do you say guys? -
What Insurance Scheme Is Better V*P Or F****** P**
Watchman replied to Memphis's topic in General Automotive
you know, my father has been owning a number of vehicles through the years ... and you know, he has ALWAYS bought 3rd party.... i too have asked him why he goes 3rd party....my father says in the duration of over 30 years that he's driven he has met with only one considerate accident.. that repair cos him about 90,000 (in 1997)... so even though he had to pocket it out, it was cheaper than having had fully insured his vehicles... if he goes to fully insure the vehicles every year that'd cost about 55,000 to 80,000 a year (not exactly sure cos never done it)...so say you do that for just 15 years.. it'd be over 1.5 million... but 3rd party is just 1100 a year, at j********i .... it was only some 250/- till a couple of years ago when the National Insurance Corporation was around..(i dot know if Madz will cut out the name, but its common knowledge) and another point he brings out is, when you know you'll be pocketing out for the repairs on any damages to your car, you sub-consciously tend to drive more carefully..... now would you rather meet with no accident or meet with an accident and have insurance pay… and guys… insurance companies don’t pay out of their pockets… they pay us back OUR OWN money… and only part of it for that matter.... but say someone else comes and crashes into you, in that case if its not your fault, get the person responsible to pay…. Fair isn’t it? and a little food for thought... some Insurance companies dont give 3rd party coverage anymore, cos they have found out that they cant make a lot of profits with those.... so think about it.... -
as i know lounge means decent pants (tweed, but we dont get that in SL, and if u do wear ir u'll look like a dork) and one of those fancy shirts that have a nice silky look... you dont tuck it in, but its not too long...goes about a few inches below the belt level,,, but i'm not 100% sure on this..

ooopps... sorry about that... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/711272/1

thanks... just went though the link.. i like the pics.. does anyone use your cars while you're gone ? at least to warm them up every now and then? all in all 2 fine machines!!! PS: i was goign through car-domain and saw this link. andrew, can you tell me what this Red Skyline is... it says "R34 GTR V-spec II".. are these the strandard front and rear ends and lights on this version or is it a kit? the car itself looks a bit bigger (though probably not)
-

hey Fuzzo, Is the Hummer thats due to be on Autovision the H2 or the H1? btw, any news on the pics of the H1? you're the only link between us humble hummer fans and the H1 in Sri Lanka
-
hey! thanks man!!!! i feel so much more smarter knowing this now and ya, taking the engine apart to replace parts like piston rods and mainly the block itself can kinda end up being one messed up scene... and no matter how good a mechanic you are/find you cant get the factory buid-quality... i've never personally seen a speedo going upto 300kmph.. must be prety nice:) you're int he US now arent you? (form what i remember reading on the forums) and another small thing.. whats the "N1" you keep referring to when you talk about the engine parts? thanks again man!
-
hey man... funny stuff.... seriously.....
-
i've only seen pictures of the 300c... so i dont really know how big it is in real life.. anyone seen one of these? it looks bigger than a 3series or a C class.. i'm thinkng maybe bigger than a E class and smaller than a S class?

Autovision can seriously do with some publicity and improvement in show-quality.... in dont even watch it now.. i hapen to see a bit of it this week while channel-surfing.. it was Dumi##a showing off one of his CR41 body kits.... and the host (his name's chaminda right?) is seriously not the type to host it.. this is what hapened this week.... i've translated the conversation Host : So dumonda tel us about the interior of this van. Dumi##a : we've added a PVC dashboard and a TV to it.. besides that we've we've replaced the standard set of seats with a GL seat set.... wel, thats about it no the inside... Host : (to viewers) ok, so thats what has been done to the interior of the vehicle... (the rear door of the van is opened and the camera is now showing the rear seats, and the host asks Dumi##a).. ok, so we see that the seats too have been kept original.... Dumi##a : no, actually we have fitted a set of GL seats.... COME ON, isnt that man listening... its like he has this standard set of questions he asks no matter what knida vehicle is being shown and who is describing it, or what he's saying... and we never get an actual review of a vehicle on it do we? no matter what the vehicle is its a vehicle that is.. i quote: "..beautiful exterior look and well built for the driver and the passengers to travel in comfort" cant wait ti see what kinda questions he'll ask the Hummer owner.... btw, does anyone know if its the black H1, or the Black H2 ?
