A*W guys was forcing an engine flush which I refused. But if you look at my service bills my EJ 15 has taken 4 liters, another time 4.25 liters and the last time 4.5 liters of engine oil. They are used to ripping off maruthi customers who are new to cars.

I logged in after a long time, I think AL needs a revamp. 1. The AL classifieds can be sorted by Price quoted and by type i.e. saloon hatchback etc. 2. High Idle fuel wastage % 3.07 (value Rs per liter) Low Idle fuel wastage % 6.06 (value Rs per liter) I am baffled as how this calculated. And my CO% and CO2% has remained almost the same from last year. This new portion is a new cage.

I went for the green test today, there is a new portion that gives the fuel wastage figure in % this is toal c*ck figure. The man explained that my needs a tupe up as it is EFI but said the car passed but you are wasting fuel and he was not able to explain the answer. any comments guys

High Value of Toyota is - WHEN you have a corolla parked in your garage or front porch You become Middle Class!!! Sri lankans love this middle class thing. They may use the car once a week but as long as the corolla is parked where the negihbours can see. (in the country side this feeling is very strong) there is one happy man!!!

Another reason is we Sri lankans like to play it safe, follow the crowd!!!. So a toyota that has ample part and resale value no mattter the condition is a safe bet. I will not buy a used toyota in SL becouse of these same reasons, the previous owner knowing that he can get a good price will not maintain or replace any item i.e. (like timming belt or even a wiper blade). Several members earlier mentioned relaibility how I know of an incident when a 1999 corolla met with head on collision and the driver lost his life. But my 1999 subaru or honda has air bags, so before you recommend this reliable toyotas to your wifes think again. DO not go on the recommendation of the Basses!! (they make money on toyota mania). Maruti's can take you from A to B for less money!!!.

My 1.5 Auto 1999 manufactured gives me 9KMPL in the city and 13.5KMPL in the long runs. I have checked this tank full to tankfull.

The parked vehical was a police truck, most probably parked on a bend with out parking lights. The speeding double cab would have had the lights focused on to the on coming vehical(to intimidate the on coming vehical) As the army officer did not have the seat belt, he ended up like a cockroach. This avaoidable death was caused by the very people who are suppose to uphold the law.

Thanks Darin and Fuzzo, I need a starter motor for EJ15 1999 JDM. Some times it makes a "click" noise and stops the battery is OK. Did the selonoid come seperatly for this model, buy looking at it from the top it looks like that. Can I have the contact details of you workshop - Darin

Hi Guys, Sick and tired of the fancy prices of the SUBARU parts and expertise. Any of you know of a Milroy or a Mazna motors for the subaru's. Since the agents dont sell cars they try to survive by selling parts and labour at an exorbitant price. I think this true to many agents in SL. but there are enough subarus on the road for an ex employee to start a business pl let me know if you guys any place .

On high speed detection, I recently got a laser detection device "LASER 360" plugs in to the cigerette lighter any body has used this and does it work well.

well for your budget it has to to be EK3 or Impreza. The subaru is much more powerful and comfortable than the honda the subaru is cheaper in comaprion as the local market is unaware of the car at large

I hope you are referring to the impreza, the 1.5CC gives 9+ to a liter. The forester(2.5) and legacy(2.0) is more 7-8, with many factors effecting the performance

2(A) 1. Modified - does this mean all cargo vans modified with seats to carry passengers??. 2. assembled with new part - what about hte premi* assembled in Sri lanka land like no other!!!!

Where did you get the CV joints changed i.e. the garage is it a known/ reputed place?. Or did they simply fill the old CV joint with grease so the noise goes away for a while ??. and you thought the new one is fitted.
