to give the viewer a feel about how big the tank is compared to the car i suppose....much like how the reviewers of car magazines who throw something in the boot to show how big it is comparatively to be honest they could have used something more exotic or better yet why not the real thing
  2. yep me too...mine's at home with the reserve light flashing..too afraid to put it out...
  3. if i'm not mistaken the subaru xt was voted one of the ugliest cars ever by some car magazine...can't remember which... but hey as richard hammond of TG once said being ugly can add character to a car...but being a bland design is the crime(and then proceeds to burn a nissan sunny with a jet engine..lol...)
  4. newest racer chick on the block http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/17/va-va-v...its-own-danica/ why are all females that has anything to do with cars look SO HOT!!!!! ........ or is it just me

quite irrelevent to dillongt's taste of rc's but didn't know where else to put this...here goes www.thesun.co.uk RC Tank The 6ft long monster is a quarter scale model of a King Tiger, the German weapon which wreaked havoc on Allied tanks in World War Two. Weighing in at a whopping 250kg, the camouflaged beast of battle has a fully working turret and a 2ft long gun with a realistic recoil action. And in case you're not getting the full wartime experience, speakers are fitted inside to simulate the tank's distinctive rumbling noise. The tank is powered by two, 500watt 24volt motors which are so powerful that it can pull a car on a level surface. It costs £6,600 and is the biggest and baddest of the machines available at Mark 1 Tanks, based in Easton, near Winchester, Hants.
  6. stig's morse codes from ep:7 I like Gary Newman That pork tasted funny
  7. what about these renault espace MPV vauxhall monaro honda prelude chrysler 300c
  8. yep...uncanny resemblence
  9. excellant next step in evoloution for the good ol' patrol me thinks
  10. sad but sensible...
  11. in my most humble opinion i don't think all sti's will be classics...specially the new one..now with subaru out of WRC it won't have the rallying pedigree like it's brothers...and if subaru do return it'l most probably be with a new car..
  12. hey i'm a very optimistic guy and i believe that any car has the potential to become a classic....but a 110? ...HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. oh yeah the abarth will definately make the cut
  14. what about the CRX and the mitsubishi 3000gt...
  15. yeah i'm regrettin posting the cefiro/civic..(But i stand by the swift and the rav 2door)...i posted them because of the reason given in my last post but GTAm...mass produced cars can be classics also ne?...they might not be rare but they could be beautiful or interesting...
  16. ..lol.. ..don..if i posted the obvious cars that will become classics on the first post this thread woulda been very boring...instead i went out on a limb and predicted some that have the potential to become surprise classics.. i agree the cefiro and the civic sedan is very far from being a classic but i'm pretty sure the swift will become one...for one thing i think it is most good looking of the small cars i've seen and no matter how much i see one it never gets dated...and underneath it is a very good car..many car magazines in the west named it as their car of the year..not to mention that star footballer christano ronaldo appeared on it's ads...
  17. anyone brave enough to declare the civic EG8 as future candidate for a classic?.....for capturing the imagination of the youth allover the world for it's cheap thrills
  18. true true machang..but one must remember that there's the Merc SL gullwing "Classic" and there's the Morris minor "Classic"...both are classics but on differant levels...i think the swift will have the cuddly small car charm to it in the future... anyway i thought it might be a laugh to list what everyone thinks will be a classic without the complications....just for fun....might be a good laugh when we revisit this forum many many years from now....
  19. lol yeah gummy...i agree it's not rare...i think the cefiro's interesting because for a normal saloon from an average brand name it looks like it comes from a much prestigeous brand...kinda like the poor man's merc CLS...nissan could have easily made it a box like sedan like the cedric or the crown...but they didn't...must be the renault influence oh yeah the TT is a surfire classic 370Z? isn't it a bit too early?
  20. i think you are missing the point here mate...If all cars were made to run forever there will be no such thing called restoration...infact i think the jap cars will have more chance of surviving the test of time compared with it's european or american rivals...
  21. Some posts in a another thread(beautiful machine) by GTAm and DevZ gave me this idea....what cars do you think that will make the cut as a classic in the future and why? All cars made after 1990 is eligible for this thread.... here are my prospects New Suzuki Swift - I kinda think of it as a future mini Second geneation Toyota Rav4 2 door - rare, interesting 2007 Honda civic sedan - Future 206 or a cambridge? Nissan Cefiro 2004 - rare,interesting....beautiful?
  22. yep yep...the car looks nice..but adding 911 alloys don't add one million....
