  7. Soltron has to be on the tank atleast for 4 days to make it effective. THATS THE GOLDEN RULE. Otherwise its just a waste of money. no matter you are driving a loooong trip or a short trip. So dont blame it. Im using it and it works. Pls check the test done by Uni. of Moratuwa. http://www.soltronlanka.com/test.htm

  9. http://www.soltronlanka.com/test.htm Pls check the above link for more details. And soltron has to be on the tank atleast for 4 days to get the best out of it. And from my experience with my petrol corolla, its working.
  10. As far as I know, this sluge formation issue is with lean burn engines. Not all VVTI engines are lean burn. specailly the cars manufactured for singapore has lean burn engines. So be carefull if your car is imported from singapore.
  11. Just a comment to this, People talk like water is allergic to newer petrol engines but its not entirely true. Its not good if water goes inside sensors, sensors are fully sealed to outside but better be careful if the vehicle is old. And you can wash it with normal tap water without putting pressure. I have done it with Toyotas and you can do this with lot of Japanese babies but better careful with Korean and other brands. And dont make it a habit.
  12. Hey all.. I used eagle one nano wax before and it was a good experience compared with other products, but not even close to meguiars wax/polishes. I got it down from amazon -US and it costs as the same price as eagle's nano wax. Quality is superb.
  13. Guys, For undercoating, dont spend unncessary money.... Just go to Wurth Lanka - Nawala. or to nearest lube shop.. Wurth has good undercoating products and its from germany. I have used a product called "High Build under seal". its a aerosol spray can and costs less than 2000/-. You ca do it yourself. But the vehicles underbody should be cleaned and dry. And they have a another product which needs some tools to oparate. Choice is yours. Dont know whether i went too far to promote this product, but i guess its a good thing to promote good, cost efficient products. I heard clean park's tuff-kote also good on this but expensive.
  14. Not sure about this but according to what I heard from others is that pulling a auto transmission car is completely normal for that car but if you are pulling it using another auto transmission vehicle, its not good for that vehicle. not to your car.
  15. Is it a car or a skooter...?
  16. Same thing happened to me but my licence issued in 1996. Its 50% faded and the funny thing is, it started from the middle.
  17. Same thing happened to me but my licence issued in 1996. Its 50% faded and the funny thing is, it started from middle of the licence.
  18. Guys If u wanna go for cey***co but think their premium is high, I ll give you a trick to handle them.. This worked for me at least. First I got a quotation from cey***co. Then I called couple of insurance companies and ask them to fax their prices. FYI all the others are cheaper than cey***co except SL insurance. After that I went to a cey***co branch and showed them the less prices i got than their quote. Then that bugger went to see the manager and came back with a price cheaper than what I got from others and surprisingly its 8000 less than their previous quote.....!

Hell NO to K-11. Its drinking petrol like a monster car. My sis had one and did only 7-8 kmpl in normal traffic.
  20. Me not a fan of c******o. But when it comes to insurance, c******o is the best when compared with other institutions.
  21. Hey machan.. go to a good Alignment place.. They will be able tell you what’s wrong and where... i was fooled by lot of alignment places in my 12 years vehicle experience and now im stick to this place at Malay street... its U&H. they are good for running related repairs as well. They ll check everything related to alignmenent issues before proceed with the aligning job at no extra cost.
  22. Hey Az man... Remember me. We had a heated argument over a nano fuel saver. you cannot expect everything from manufacturer to do it for you. FYI, do you know EFI systems excisted in late 1950's? And just think when it came to our day to day use. Thats how car manufactures work. So dont rely on car manufacturers. They are good but not as good as you think And For everyone, this is little off the topic but dont believe anything said at http://www.fuelsaving.info/. Its just a hoax according to my expeience. That guy seem to be rejecting everything. maybe getting thousands of dollers form oil manufacturers.
  23. There is a simple way to tackle this. if you are constantly using the AC while driving, It will immediately releases its clutch and stops cooling if temperature exceeds 100 - 110C.
  24. Fuel delivery people in SL use diesel bowsers to deliver petrol and vice versa. IOC used to do it from the begining and now both ceypetco and IOC happilly doing it for the sake of business. God help us on our petrol vehicles. what i heard from a bowser guy is, these bowsers have some amount of fuel which cannot be emptied to avoid corrossion inside. 25000 liter bowser could have 100's of liters of fuel as a buffer in it. Just imagine that 100s of liters of diesel mixing with petrol. ??? When it comes to fuel additives, we messure them as 1 or 2 mililiters per liter. cos its that affecive when it comes to mixing. So mixing 100s of liters is a disaster....!
