  1. Wow that's quite a lot to pay. I'm expecting they were coilovers?
  2. BTW a brand new Civic Si starts at $22K, a used 07/08 is about 10-15k, I don't know where you arrived at the $4k number. The price quoted does not include taxes. The taxes are paid by the customer at the time of the sale. The tax rates changes from one county to the other (compare county to our praadeshiya saba areas). It's usually around 5-10%, where I live it's 6.75% This tax has to be paid every time a car is bought. Even if I buy a second hand car from a private party I would pay taxes to the state depending on the sale price. There is also a $1500 gas guzzler tax that has to be paid for a brand new car if it does not meet a certain fuel consumption level.
  3. I think we're talking about a Shelby GT500 here, starting price is $48,000.
  4. I was about to correct you on that. I think I saw the Sedan shell being used by Telsa to make electric sport sedan.
  5. Found this on a forum .... Looks like quite common http://www.mitsubish...gear-locked.htm
  6. Dude was that on Broadway?
  7. All hail the King!
  8. I think Tuned-i Chips works on them now.
  9. Some teaser pics of my ride while we're on the topic of Bimmers... constructive criticism welcome - I'm sure Peri will be the first to comment on the photography 2007 BMW 335i - Premium/ Sport package 3 liter inline six twin turbo 300 HP @ 5,800 rpm; 300 ft lb @ 1,400 rpm
  10. Simple, it gives you something to talk over dinner!
  11. People say he's the 'heir' to the 'throne'....
  12. Nice.... One question though, would there be enough weight at the back of the empty truck to get the required grip?
  13. There's a younger generation of MPs now - may be that actress MP bought the Cobra!
  14. MP permit I think. I'm sure the folks who do the Hummer conversions can do this too...
  15. Thaarunyata Hetak?
  16. Custom officers are 'in' on it too...
  17. Where did you get the secondary speed reading? Could that be wrong?
  18. Yep just like Peri says low end torque is what you need for everyday use....
  19. OP said 300USD + 170USD for shipping didn't he? That's my point too. The ride is so hard (due to the hard side walls), hit a pothole and it feels like your wheel just broke off. A lot of folks on the forums also say handling is compromised... Plus if your get a puncture, you have to replace the whole tire - patching up is not recommended. Cars that come with runflats have no spare tire or for that matter no place to keep one. You can drive with a flat - runflat for a certain amount of miles - but when you do that, the sidewalls will start breaking down making the tire no longer usable - that is why manufacturers recommending replacing the tire rather than patching it up....
  20. It was with the same person I sold it to, about a month back when I was in SL. Any idea who owns it now?
  21. He lives in the Middle East and his cars are there, not in SL
  22. Isn't $500 too much to spend to see if you have a flat tire? The moment you get a flat you'll notice a difference in the way the car drives and handles at zero cost. Sometimes I hate these gizmos that try to make our lifes easier. My car has TPMS and I can't change to aftermarket wheels unless I have TPMS sensors installed on the new wheels, and then the F***ing Run Flats! Who thought that was a brilliant idea?
  23. I think I know that car. KB or KC plates and a prominent number? Probably brought down on a cricketers or a BOI permit? I know the six speed is nice to have but for SL 5 speed ratios would be better.
  24. Looks like it grew too big for its own skin
