  1. I'm guessing it's a 1970/80 Maserati from the wheel design but trying to figure out which model..
  2. Yep, that's the one, and been there for ages.
  3. Try the spare shops in Kurunegala.
  4. Last time I heard of it, the blue one was sold by the well known businessman S**** Perera to Murali's bro.
  5. There was a TA22 Celica in a car sale on Kandy-Colombo road.
  6. There are tons of replicas advertised openly on the web, was this one any different? Check this one for example. http://www.extreme-sportscars.com/
  7. The truth is all these are 1990s Japanese production bodies running with old numbers. I've seen many selling for around 1 Mil, not just the one listed here.
  8. Seems like this disease is contagious. Look at the Mitsubishi Jeep advertised at 2 Mil when similar models are going for 1 Mil or less. 2Mil http://www.autolanka.com/ad.asp?ID=5368 Similar model at 1 Mil http://www.autolanka.com/ad.asp?ID=3570
  9. That permit has been there for a while. It was not given under the recent permit regulations. It is fully transferable and sells for 2 Mil +. This permit is applicable to a grade of public servant who are allowed to take ownership of their official vehicle when they retire. They can either take home the official vehicle provided it is at least 3 years (I think) old or opt for the permit instead.
  10. You kidding right? When was the last time a law was put to full effect in SL?
  11. I just saw an advertisement on a famous motoring magazine for a 2008 Mitsubishi Montero Sports diesel brought under these permits. Seems that people are advertising them openly!
  12. They sure use double clutching.
  13. You sound like a Leyland bus driver!

    Fz Numbers

Maybe the 325- is given to conversions where the orginal vehicle is pre-english numbered.

    Fz Numbers

There is one convert that has left me guessing for a while. Anyone in the 4x4 scene might be familiar with converted Nissan firetruck. It used to have a regular number sometime back(28 or 40 shri). But it was completely rebuilt and now has a GR- number plate. I'm suspecting it was converted from diesel to petrol. Anyone got more details on how it came to have an english number after the restoration? (Pic :Courtesy of ####)
  16. Is it a DKW?
  17. Anyone know what this is?
  18. Got it. Caparo T1! BTW what are you doing up this late?
  19. It's a Caparo T1. Looks extremely similar to the Radical SR3. But the SR3 has one more lamp.

    Fz Numbers

Also have anyone noticed that the english numbers jumped from HZ to JA omitting the entire I numbers? Wonder what the reasoning behind that is...
  21. Looks 1990s Mercedes S or SL class.

    Fz Numbers

FZ is for former dpl vehicles. 325- is still being to diesel converts and former army/navy (Yuha) plate vehicles.
