  1. I am seeking dependable alternatives to the current brake booster in my Toyota CE96. The main concern is that the existing unit does not provide consistent or reliable braking performance. Reconditioned parts have also proven to be unreliable, often leaving uncertainty about braking safety even after visits to most garages.
  2. Totally agree—no point getting caught up in a mess that isn’t yours. I’ll check directly with the RMV and tread carefully. Appreciate the advice!
  3. Hey everyone, I’m looking at buying a Honda XR 400SM (2008) – chassis number ND08-120xxx. The bike itself is solid, and everything checks out: genuine chassis and engine numbers, good condition overall. BUT – it’s registered as a 250cc. I’m hesitant because of this mismatch. I really want to keep everything legal and clean. If anything were to happen (accident, inspection, resale, etc.), I want to be able to speak up without fear or trouble. So I’m trying to understand: Is it possible to legally correct the engine capacity on the registration? What’s the proper process to do that through RMV/DMT? How much would it typically cost? How long does it take? With the current delays and situation at RMV/DMT, is it even worth trying right now? If anyone here has gone through something similar or knows someone who has, I’d really appreciate your advice. I want to do this the right way and avoid issues in the future. Thanks in advance!
  4. Thanks for the reply @iRage. I did try that. According to some importers, it is also difficult to obtain one from Japan. I'm open to the idea of importing. Do you know a way to do so?
  5. Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right channel to ask this question. I'm trying to find a reconditioned 2C Molli diesel engine for a CE96 car. I have tried contacting places in Kurunegala, Alawwa, Yakkala, and some other places. I also tried spreading the word. However, I have not made much progress. Do you have any suggestions on where to look for one or any contacts? Thanks

  7. Thanks you @fiat fan @matroska @iRage @Hyaenidae for the very informative answer and discussion. Those are very helpful
  8. Thanks for the quick reply @Hyaenidae. I definitely check on Geely Emgrand. Meanwhile what do you think about Peugeot 406?
  9. Hi @AVANTE I saw you comprehensive answer on Peugeot 406. So I submit a question and if you could, could you have a look on my post(

) I would like to have your opinion on that. So my obvious choice was Peugeot 406 D9 diesel one. but what i heard was, probability of some one selling it due to considerable issues, and it has hard time of reselling and repairing and spare pats finding and cost may considerably high. Seeking advice on this.

    Thank you

  10. I'm looking for a car that looks decent, offers at least average comfort, and can be sold without much effort when reselling. So, the story is, I'm a 26-year-old person from Gampaha, and I want to provide a car ride for my mother that I own before she passes away. I'm open to all suggestions and advice. Thank you
