I have a 1.5l Japanese Domestic Version and it does have start / stop as well. Overall if you keep the revs below 2k its quite frugal.

Oddly I wanted to change to 0w-30 Motul 8100 Eco Clean and the service advisor wouldn't let me, he only recommended 0w-20. At that point I brought the oil (Mobil 1) from outside anyway after they switched to Motul. On the 1.5T I would use 5w-30 or 0w-30 but would not use 10w-30. Whilst it will not be an issue in the hot Colombo weather by any chance you do travel to a cold climate and have to do a cold starts it may impact your internals. The other thing you have to look out for is LSPI (Low Speed Pre Ignition). These high strung low displacement turbocharged direct injected engines are notorious for it and the engine oil plays a key part in ensuring it does not happen.. Yes, I think weather is not a problem in Colombo but if you do very short trips (i.e. not allowing the engine to get up to operating temperature to burn the fuel off) over time fuel accumulates in the oil and starts thinning the oil out. I guess this affects me more than anyone else due to the way I use my car.
-
I was thinking the same thing and because of SL temperatures but St****rd Maradana where I service, does not let me do that. They only recommend 0w-20 saying it's better for the oil galleries.

Is your car a Japanese Domestic Model? I use Mobil 1 AFE 0w-20 on my FC1. I will be switching to Motul H-Tec 100 Plus 0w-20 for my next service at 30,000 KM due to the cost. My JDM owners manual says 0w-20 or 5w-30 that is API SN grade. For best fuel economy it says 0w-20. I would stick to fully synthetic because of the oil dilution issue on the 1.5T.

Unfortunately I'm not en expert in this area and not sure how the steering wheel control wiring has been set-up but that said you wouldn't see a separate plug as such. It should be part of the main harness. Only interface I'm aware of that actually work is the Metra Axxess Steering Wheel Control Interface. However I couldn't locate one for the 2018 CRV on their website. https://axxessinterfaces.com/products?Year=2018&Make=Honda&Model=CR-V&Submodel=LX&TrimOption[]=Standard Audio only The below link provides instructions on how to manually reprogram the interface, https://axxessinterfaces.com/product/ASWC-1#docs-instructions Also below link depicts a radio replacement for a Civic (not sure how helpful it will be for the CRV) https://www.civicx.com/threads/lx-radio-replacement-thread.2116/page-2

I have the same issue on my JDM Civic. I installed a Pioneer Z5150BT and the steering wheel controls didn't work. B*r* Stereo guys hard wired the the steering wheel controls and managed to save some functionality. Volume and phone buttons which are now programmed to skip tracks and channels. I recently ordered the Metra Axxess Steering Wheel Control Interface (it was not available when I first fixed for the Civic) but haven't had a chance to get it fixed. I believe the wiring diagram is on their website along with how to manually program the car model and the head unit type.

Couple of car sale guys are offering the Prius, Insight and the Civic. All 3 are almost the same price, between Rs. 2.4m and 2.5m. The Insight and the Civic are mild Hybrids, though the Insight has an eco mode. Also the Insight is the smallest of the 3. (I think the wheelbase is similar to the City/Aria)
-
Hmmmm... A hybrid seems to be a good option now with the tax cuts. But the main concern would be maintenance. Prius and Insight are stand alone models. I can safely assume it would be difficult to find parts compatible with both. And the Hybrid system in the Prius is very complexed (as oppose to the mild IMA system in the Honda), not sure if there are many garages which are well versed with the system. (only place I can think of is the agents) Also the car will be 3 years old anyway when it comes to SL. So that's 3 years of the 8 year/160,0000km warranty.(not that it is a valid warranty anyway as it's not from the agent) To replace the battery pack, from what I understand will cost around $6000.00 (US). The second hand value will be a concern, with cost associated with the battery pack. And will the battery packs compatible with the MKII be available in another 6 to 7 years? So there is a lot of ambiguity around the viability around Hybrids in SL. I myself prefer the Honda Civic Hybrid. It will cost almost the same but will suffer in fuel economy. But on the other hand it will have most parts common with the gasoline Civic, also it's a less complicated system than Prius (less things to go wrong)and finally I believe the IMA and the battery pack can be taken out and be replaced with a 1.8l R18 if it is required.

Hi Guys, I was wondering whether it was possible to implement rear wheel steering to FWD car? I guess it would solve the Torque Steer issue and would also be less expensive to build than RWD car. I wonder what the handling characteristics will be of such a car? Oversteer? Understeer? I know this sort of setup was used on the ThrustSSC project for the land speed record. Let me know your thoughts on this guys.. Thanks

I don't think a car can run on nitrous alone. It will blow the engine to pieces. Maybe 110 octane. I've heard of GTR's moded to yield 1600BHP. They do 0 to 60 in 3 seconds. But the mods are illegal it seems in most countries.
-
Very funny! Nice one lol! It could b the next Nissan GTR as R35 is goin to be Infinity.
-
That's pretty cool. There is a rumour of 450Z with Nissan's VQ45 V8 since the next GTR is goin to be an Infinity. They say it will replce the GTR in their lin up. That'll b very very cool LOL ! 500BHP +
-
That's pretty cool. The RB should b put in every car. I've seen a Supra engine in a RX7 . It's pretty wild lol. The engine sticks out of the engine bay.It was done by SP Engineering.

The Bluebird was discontinued n was replaced by the Bluebird Slyphy. The Bluebird ur talkin is the 14 series. The earlier 13 series had the SSS n the EEX.SSS was the full option n the EEX was the half option. The 14 series trim levels r as follows, The Eprise is the half option of the Bluebird if u will. As oppose to the La Grand it does not have rear head rests n arm rest , 4 speaker sound system , automatic climate control just to name a few. But as oppose to a Sunny it is almost Super Saloon like with few optons missing. The La Grand is the full option. U get the works. Both the Eprise n La Grand are available in diesel n petrol. SSS is the sports tuned version. It only comes with 2000cc petrol engine. So if any of u guys hav 1800cc SSS it's a fake. Probably a La Grand wit da lights replaced. The 2000cc engine also isn't the standard 2000cc u get in the Primera. It has high performance cams so u feel the power and torque at low and mid range as oppose to high end RPM. So the result is u loose MPG . It does not need 95 octane petrol but usin it will make the engine far more responsive. The suspension is also STIFFER as oppose to La Grand n Eprise. So don't expect a comfortable ride as the suspension will crash in potholes as oppose to the soft suspension of the other trims. The HyperCVT was introduced around 2000 after nissan introduced their QG series engines. It only comes wit da NeoDI 1800cc gasoline direct injection engine. This combination of HyperCVT N NeoDI can also b seen in the Primera N the Sunny.

Is it me O Don't u guys think the new nissans look like shit! Specially Da Sentra! It looks like bloody MPV lol! Seriously there is sumthin wrong wit Nissan. The new Sentra is not the new Sunny . It's built on the Nissan's new global C platform which they developed with Renault. It's suppose to rival the Toyota Camry as it is the best selling car in the US 2005.The base model has Nissan new 2000cc engine and the topend has a 2500cc engine. It's Nissan new MR series engine. The Sunny is being replaced by the TIIDA LATIO or as of 2007 the Nissan Versa. It gets Nissan's new HR series engine. It's bloody F**kin ugly if u ask me. Both MR N HR series engine r pretty basic too. They r just DOHC engine without variable valve timing yet alone with variable valve timing and lift. Ever since Ghosn took over I think Nissan Has lost their way. I think Nissan is losing their loyal fan base wit these new models. How many Nissan TIIDA LATIO'S hav u seen in Sri Lanka? I mean except for the New Primera which is just as uuuuuuuuuuglay! n the Cefiro which looks outwrite borin no new Nissans hav cuaght on as oppose to Toyota which has the new Corolla,Camry,Avolon,Allion,Premio,Vios,Yaris n I can go on. Just my openion but i think nissan nw sucks! Sorry LOL ! I use to luv Nissan. Thank u Ghosn!
