  1. It is really disappointed. ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ The Amaron Battery "AMARON HI-LIFE DURO EFB S95/105D26L, 12V 20HR 70Ah CCA 650 D26L" bought in September 2021 lasted only 20 months.....The warranty period is only 01 year.......This means the distributor knows that the battery lasts only 01 year......... New battery is Yuasa S-95 EFB 110D26L 12V 74Ah 655CCA with 01- and 1/2-year warranty...........
  2. I have replaced my PANASONIC S95 12V 20HR 70Ah CCA 604A D26(JIS) with the following battery. AMARON HI-LIFE DURO EFB S95/105D26L, 12V 20HR 70Ah CCA 650 D26L Needed EFB or AGM battery with CCA value more 600 since my car is equipped with Auto start / stop. Couldn't just use 12V 70Ah battery. The Battery sellers tried to sell me AMARON HI-LIFE DURO EFB Q85/90D23L 12V 20HR 65Ah CCA 600 battery, as it was available everywhere but I insisted that I need S95. For your information please. Thank you
  3. My car is a non-hybrid Axio (NRE161) car manufactured in 2017. Since my battery is weak, I need to replace my car battery. The available battery spec is 12V 20HR 70Ah CCA 604A D26(JIS). When I checked with some battery shops in Kandy, they say 12V 70Ah battery is sufficient for the car as that is the only available battery in town. But I feel replacing with a 12V 70Ah battery is not that simple and need to be looked at some other values as well. Your valuable comments are highly appreciated. Thank you...
  4. I have added a clip to the hose where the reservoir tank hose connects the radiator. Seems like the problem has disappeared. Thank you very much everyone who have contributed this post....?
  5. After replacing the radiator cap with a new one, more coolant remain in reservoir tank... Any comments??????
  6. There is a coolant reduction in radiator. The reduced amount of coolant in radiator is almost equivalent to the excess amount of coolant in the reservoir. I did not hear any pressure release when I open the radiator cap after cooling over night.
  7. Thank you all for your replies. Yesterday I replaced the Radiator cap with a new one (Brand - Sankei cost me Rs.700 only). When I checked the coolant tank this morning, still the coolant level is about half inch above MAX level. The problem still exists.? The excess amount of coolant in the Reservoir tank (above MAX level) is enough to fill the Radiator, Meaning No coolant leak. Any suggestions please?????
  8. Thank you all for quick response. There are varies kinds of Radiator caps available in the market with a pressure rating 1.1 bar. Do you have any suggestions?
  9. No. ...I mean Indicator stays at middle after the engine reaches the working temperature.
  10. Pressure rating is 1.1 bar. The car overheating issue solved some time back after replacing the radiator fan. There is no overheating now. Temperature gauge indicator stays at center position all the time.
  11. Extremely sorry Mr. Davy...Thank you Mr. gNaveendra. Cap is an original one but used. It came with the used radiator which I bought few months back, to replace the leaking radiator. No idea about the condition.
  12. I don't. Have to buy one.
  13. The coolant level in reservoir tank is about half inch above MAX level and the coolant in Radiator is bit low when I check in the morning. I usually fill the radiator and reservoir tank to MAX level as specified before a long drive. It seems like the coolant has not returned back to Radiator. Appreciate any comments on this.
  14. I heard there is a "Catalytic convertor Cleaner" in the market. Any experience on this???
  15. 1. There is a "tik tik" noise coming from exhaust line after every drive. Technicians say that noise is from catalytic convertor and there is nothing to worry about. 2. Recently the O2 sensor malfunctioned and the technician had the doubt that failure of O2 sensor may be due to blockage of exhaust line and cleaning of exhaust line will bring back the O2 sensor to working condition. Anyway I have replaced the O2 sensor.... My problems are 1. Is the sound "tik ik" from exhaust is ok??? 2. Is is necessary to clean the exhaust of older cars (more than 90,000km) cause the car can overheat? If yes how? Thank you.............
  16. Now the temperature needle stays at the center. Seems like the problem has been solved after replacing the fan motor. Thank you guys for your valuable comments.
  17. Radiator cap is a reconditioned good one brought recently. I did my major repairs at a famous large repair shop at Karugastota. (Up to last Saturday they did a good job). Last Saturday I took my car there and tried to repair the fan motor. Unfortunately while cleaning the motor, the magnets we also removed and had to replace the fan motor with a new one cost me Rs.7000. While fixing the fan the technician damaged the radiator and took me two hours to find a fairly good radiator (cost Rs.10000, cost reimbursed). Lost my good radiator although replaced+ Wurth coolant. Hell..... Another famous electrician in front of Katugastota police station suggested that a fan is fixed in front of the A/C condenser, but I refused. I guess it might block air passage when the A/C is off. Any comment on this please...... I'll let you know the progress later....
  18. Former owner too has noticed the overheating and has flushed the system with a radiator flush. He was running the car with a leaking radiator. As soon as I bought the car four monts back, I replaced the radiator with a good cleaned reconditioned one as the radiator was leaking. Added the Wurth green coolant as well. No sign of rust. There was no Thermostat valve in position. As you suggested I have installed a genuine Thermostat valve two weeks ago. Now the fuel consumption is satisfactory. Earlier the radiator fan started when the Temperature needle is above the halfway mark (without A/C, No Thermostat). After replacing the Coolant sensor with a genuine one and a Thermostat, the fan starts when needle is just below the halfway mark (without A/C, ). Only problem is overheating with A/C on and at low speeds. Thank you for your valuable suggestions. I shall visit a good auto electrician and check the fan speeds. I noticed the coolant overflow reservoir is one inch above "full" mark, when the engine is at working temperature. Does it mean the water pump is working properly?
  19. I I replaced the Coolant sensor too. Radiator fan switches on as soon as the needle reaches the center. But still overheats in a traffic jam with A/C on.
  20. After replacing the ECT sensor & the Thermostat, the temperature gauge needle stays at the center without A/C. But the needle moves up at slow speeds with A/C on. Please let me know how to check the radiator fan speeds?
  21. Thank you so much all for your valuable comments. Two friends of mine have the same car (2004 model) and surprisingly both have the same problem. They are still trying to solve the issue. I have recently fixed a good reconditioned radiator since there was a small leak. I suspected Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor as everything else is ok. Replaced the ECT sensor with a genuine one (Rs.6500) few days back. I shall let you know the progress.....
  22. The temperature gauge needle is at the center when I'm in a highway but the needle moves up a bit and comes back to center when i'm driving uphill. I tried to replace the Thermostat valve but there is no Thermostat valve installed. My technician says there is nothing to worry. Your valuable comments are welcome.
