  1. Yup.. Pila s closed for god knows what.. so any alternatives on anybodys mind? seems like everything s going according to plan lol.. mine just got scrwed last night ... Zz
  2. amd is partnered with microsoft.. it aint no miracle lolz... Zz
  3. agree wit ya man.. motor sports here are receiving lower coverage than the rest of the other sports.. other than the occassionaly Dinesh Deheragoda winning a race etc. the rest are just in the form of a summarized article.. but from what i do remember.. rally/motor sports were somewhat more glorified in the late 1980s to the early 1990s.. atleast that is what i feel cuz i used to see quite a few local races going on tv and there was a big haahoo bout trying to visit such a event.. Zz
  4. Seems like it was a fantastic show... dude.. any videos of the entire event hopefully? somebody gotta have it .. Zz
  5. @ Gihan - Thank god for our coppers dnt ya say? hehe.. Does the location of these automated speed traps vary or is stationary? cuz once ppl get used to its location they would automatically slow down n again accelerate no.. Zz
  6. Hmm.. Transporter 2 - Escaping the cops with the kidnapper in da car Bourne Identity and Supremacy - Running away from the cops in a mini n taxi cab ... Tokyo Drift - Escaping the 350Z thre outta be more.. jst does not come 2 mind.. Zz
  7. There is another product in addition to the Laser Jammer called Stealth coat by a company called Veil me think.. apply a coat of that liquid onto the front and voila.. it would NOT jam the laser but delay the speed locking time of the laser gun.. in the sense.. if thy speed could be detected from 2000ft.. this stuff would effectively prevent detection up to bout 1100ft.. efficiency varies though from the colour of the card and installation... the basics in this countermeasure is to give the driver enough time to react.. pretty costly stuf i hear though.. Zz
  8. the most comic handling car? lol.. cheers on ya purchase bro! i believe i saw some pics of this car being used in races yeah.. Zz
  9. correct DevZ.. the only way to learn bout how far the limits are on ya vehicle is to be a bit extreme.. and i just noticed that speeds upto 65kmph allows you sufficient reaction time even for the normal driver.. just a question.. would it be ethical catching motorists for high speed at night when there are lil or no traffic or pedestrians for that matter? i mean catching em with the intention o identifying potentional drunks are exceptional.. and what i mean by hi-speeds does not take 100+ into the equation.. just above the normal speed limit i mean.. but seems like Galle Road has taken a good approach towards jaywalkers.. they ve erected steel barriers all over the place so its all good.. but knowing sri lankans including me with the tendency to jump over .. beware! lol Zz
  10. believe me i ve got no idea was drivin towards kandy at night n the headlights were not doing a proper job so i had a few rough encounters with large potholes n bumps.. and as par the tyre/rim thread.. my shocks r in a mess.. so there would ve been no way to escape such damage i did check bro.. the hoses r intact and it has torn inwards from the part it was welded.. these hoses/thick wires are mettalic.. so when water started dripping it got me a lil nervous.. i kept o checkin da temp to see whether derez any overheating.. none.. check the radiator for water loss.. nope.. i ll be taking a few pics hopefully today o the damage 2 get it across to porkster.. i ll mail ya dem too... Zz
  11. How about maligawatte? hehe.. walking into the area could instil a fear in ya lmao.. Zz
  12. Radiator cap in the sense is cap which outta be removed to pour in water ? there is some oxide residue but nothing alarming and the water level does drop a bit but not to alarming levels.. this leak got me a bit worried as I noticed a small welded part right beneath the passenger seat legroom torn inwards due to a bump etc.. so i ll be def needing to check up o dat.. Zz
  13. what would the Automobile Assosciation of SL be doing bout such laws bro? I mean is it not their objective to promote safe driving and all related? What i mean is .. it is quite unethical to have traffic move slower than maximum speed at which traffic could move efficiently without any probs yeah? and it would def ease traffic congestion as the more quicker the destinations are reached the more quicker the roads are freed of usage... Are there not any assosciation relating to motorists looking into such matters? Zz
  14. i am commenting not about the roads in the city but in the roads of this entire island as a whole.. i knw there are good n bad roads over in the UK n USA .. i didnt say no.. but do a small comparison and ya ll see that the majority of the quality roads goes to developed countries.. check out the roads in the rural areas near the towns in SL and those with towns of the UK and ya ll get what i meant... furthermore UK got a more regulated and non-corrupted road development board which works in par with the law makers as to what speed would be recommended on which road etc. over here.. even if the road is as smooth as baby's skin ya ve gotta do below 65km... would ya sponsor ma flight to the UK n US? Zz
  15. LOL! Guess all countries got their share o raving lunatics... speed thrills but kills .. wel ya ve gotta commend sri lankan attitude quite a bit cuz it is these dali pihi and stuff which makes certain drivers fear for their life and go a bit slow atleast lol... Zz
  16. i admit there is some good in this uniflow system.. but havoc starts when morons who need to take the lane onto the left hand side starts going on the right hand side n suddenly cut across.. from what i hear.. most of the accidents that ve occured in the last few weeks were mainly due to these type of drivers.. they outta put up a big board along with the names of the lanes on the right hand side n left and direct the driver which lane to take to goto which lane... that would def make things more smoother.. n man.. the road from the liberty roundabout al the way down to passing queens is fcuked up literally.. ya ve gotta keep turning like crazy to save ya car.. n at times yaself.. lol.. ya mean to say the 1930's legislation is stil active in the transport sector??! Zz
  17. but that occurs once the A/C is switched on yeah.. i didnt use ma A/C at all as a matter of fact.. could evaporated water condensed and drip beneath da car? Zz
  18. I am having a similiar problem.. waters dripping once the car stops it seems right at the front a little towards the centre from the left front tyre.. it got me a bit worried as I was driving a bit recklessly on me last trip and the roads were not so merciful either.. Zz
  19. underwear and chicken??!! shite.. let lose the matter of stealing an underwear n chicken.. but getting caught robbin em is even worse lmao... i remember readin bout an australian dude who had been driving in reverse for about 80 odd kms along the roads as only the reverse gear works lol.. apparently he was released after a good warning.. Zz
  20. bloody good speed driving over there.. but then again.. the US and the UK are blessed with dreamy like smooth roads which does not curve as much.. here the roads are like kinda catching ya nose wit ya left hand around the back o ya neck .. lol Zz
  21. wel.. atleast from what i hear it has got off to a good start.. so initially there outta/might be a few drawbacks which the customers gotta get accustomed to.. but lately.. the newer designs which i see zooming across the streets are quite nice.. and very economical too with certain people mentioning that repairs are quite rare.. having these vehicles locally made would def be a plus as the local scenario of potholes n sudden bumps would be a factor in making the vehicle more smoother.. i do wonder though why the govt keeps on increasing their taxes rather dan relieving them.. it seems that they wanna tax every shit in their sight.. Zz
  22. good good.. atleast some dudes were having fun today lol... now since everythings settled.. lets keep our gaps shut n enjoy the 17th! ... lolz.. n Hola.. cant ya fish those coppers away dude.. cuz i was hopin Dev Z give a try @ drifting along da way lmao.. Zz
  23. nice pics dudes! keep em up... any video by any chance of the event? Zz
  24. that is where i find the trend changing .. atleast in my trips that is... most of the traps are now focused within the town areas and the urban area traps are decreasing.. else i remember last year when i was heading to beruwela there were like 3 coppers at dif places catching high speed motorists.. on my recent trip to kandy.. not a single one was sighted.. either it is ma good timing .. or there is some changes somewhere... Zz
  25. when it is wellawatte ya d say just passing the savoy cinema towards bambalapitiya yeah? prob is there is more than enough camouflage around that area to keep these coppers hidden dude.. and usually one guy does the measurement and the other the trapping.. even i came across a similiar experience myself when i was caught jumping the red though it was definitely green.. their word is taken more seriously than ours yeah.. best thing to do is that when ya feel they are stopping ya for speeding though ya r doin below 60 kmph just drive thru.. am not recommending it but witnessed it and those moronz just stood stil aghast .. it aint a solution but a method to save yaself from a un-needed fine/bribery.. Zz
