I was just being Sarki MRM This thread is getting out of hand... Lets move on guys... Mirigama sounds good maybe once i'm back we can meet up and do some laps... Cheers guys i'm outta here...
Chill out guys ... Amen to that Elvis... The gearing ratio is the key Well Peri sometime back Nigel did lower the VVL kick-in in a certain VZR which i'm sure your'll wouldn't have known that existed.... For some reason it still got creamed by the SOHC honda's...
It's a known fact man... Exclusive in which sense... You gain no exclusiveness after getting trashed by a mere 130BHP car... And BTW for ur Thatte's info no one always run Toluene or slicks for drags.. You wouldn't know that now would you... The 80K is inclusive of labour... And a SOHC EG8 will cost only mere 12 laks ... If u want to market your car this ain't the way
Just an ECU, slight head work and I/E... Max 80K for everything... If u didn't get wat i said let me re-qoute it. A 130BHP Honda SOHC car will take down a VZR and GT
The conversion is pretty straight forward if u have the correct parts... Zakie has already done plenty of EK3 conversions with the B series engines. U will need the following. And make sure u have all the stuff before starting a project. The b series conversions are getting rarer so don't expect to find stuff easily...
1. Engine
2. Gear Box
3. ECU
4. Wire harness Or Zakie will be able to modify the current EK3 harness.
5. Shift linkage.
6. Axels Hubs and brake disks
7. Subframe.
8. Engine Mounts.
The conversion is quit simple if u can get all the stuff from a EK9... A EG6 conversion won't fit directly to a EK3 and you will need the correct parts mentioned above. The conversion is pretty expensive and will cost you around 500K. Just make sure u get a good engine and GB as these are almost 8-14 years old ..
For all fairness it would be better running a honda 1500 than a honda 1600 SiR and bullying the rest I'm sure there are two 1500CC that can accomplish this task....
A simple drag race should sort this out... With the car list mentioned here the Honda SiR will whoop all the other 1600's in acceleration, top end, and handling... The POC is quite straight forward...
He he ya miss the CMB life... Things should get more interesting as the owner gets more practice with the RR..... Wats the latest in the FI section????
