  1. One of the forum members had uploaded an Ignis user manual some time ago. Here's the link. http://uploading.com/files/59712eam/Suzuki_Ignis_-_chevrolet_cruze.pdf/
  2. 0. Timing chain. 70k is way too early to change it. In fact, Suzuki M13A engine (this the engine in the Cruze) has a very durable timing chain so don't worry about it. 1. 10km/l is normal in city driving if you are not so smooth on the pedals. No offense for lady drivers but I've noticed that when my better half drives the car, it does about 1km less per litre of fuel. If you get 11km/l with 95, its abnormal (the way u measure is probably wrong). Both 90 and 95 should give same fuel figures. 2. Sooner or later the suspension will give up. Also CV joints and rack ends tend to give up sooner than the mainstream Japs. You can't do anything about it except avoid potholed roads or be a bit gentle with the car 3. Search the net for "Suzuki Ignis" or "Holden Cruze 2003" user manual. It's virtually the same thing. You won't find a CHevrolet Cruze user manual in English because it was never intended to be sold outside Japan. However, in Australia, the same car was sold as "Holden Cruze" and with a slightly different body, the same car was sold all over the world as "Suzuki Ignis".
  3. If you are losing pressure (even 1-2 units a month) something could be wrong with your tires/valve and/or rims. This is irrespective of what you pump in the car. You might as well get them checked. For example, my Focus has not lost pressure, even with plain old air, for over 4 months now but the older car which has a minor dent in the rim tends to lose about 1-2 units a month.
  4. if u have even been in a stock 850cc Mini, u will know it's far from a purpose built racer. Minis were never designed as racers back in 1959. They were designed as cheap city cars that can carry 4 people.
  5. It's called placebo effect
  6. Take the turn and keep the thread going buddy

  8. a tiny bit of honesty would be nice obviously its a UK spec HiAce. Over to you mate.
  9. ok here we go Quite a lot of these monstrosities have recently landed in sri lanka
  10. My vote for this budget range is Lancer CS1 (facelift) or Honda Fit Aria
  11. Hyundai Trajet or Kia Carnival
  12. There were 850CC Minis. They were the first to come out in 1959. And the whole idea of contemplating which car would come first, is merely hypothetocal. The original 850CC Mini in its stock form carried a 848CC 34bhp Carburetor engine with 10 inch wheels and its about 650kg The Viva also has an 850CC version which carries a 52bhp EFI DVVT engine with 12inch wheels and its about 740 kg Maruti 800 has an 800CC engine with around 35bhp and it uses MPFI. Wheel size is 12-inches (correct me if I'm wrong here). Its also about 650 kg Nano has a 624CC engine with about 30bhp has 10inch wheels. It's about 600kg Going ONLY by these figures and not considering the aerodynamics, stability and zillion other factors, I believe the Viva would be far ahead, if these cars were dragged in their stock form.
  13. I use Mobil XHP/1000 with the Cruze. No issues.
  14. AE110
  15. Ah ok... here's the explanation. FYI we are living in Sri Lanka where the weather is hot, humid and unpredictable. If you rode a bike to work during morning rush hour, you may save time, get a workout and come to work sweaty and stinking as hell. And all that will be on a good day. That's the reason why cycling to work never became popular in Sri Lanka. It's not because Sri Lankans are lazy or just don't like bicycles. Without understanding this, there's no point of blabbering 'hey, there's a white guy riding a bicycle so let's all buy one of those'... Who was the last guy who tried to convince us all to buy bicycles? It was Harak as I remember...
  16. You know what I think? You should stop talking out of your a$$
  17. Take the floor mate.
  18. The whole excuse of world oil prices going up, is pure BS to say the least. Since June last year, it has hovered around the $99 mark, with a dip around October last year. There's another angle to this whole story. Apart from the fact that the present government's complicated machine of wastage, they are also as talented as a bunch of pre-school kids when it comes to economic management and International diplomacy. Everyone knows about the tension between Iran and the West. That has increased in the past 5 or 6 years. Our so-called policy makers should have realized the signs of this and moved to look for other sources to obtain petroleum at that time itself. Instead of doing that, our so-called policy makers took it as an opportunity to get some cheap oil and as a result Sri Lanka ended up being almost totally dependent on Iran for the oil supply. Although I am not a supporter of any politician, RW pointed out this problem years ago and was emphasizing that the government is taking a completely wrong track. However, the government's response was to build stronger ties with Iran, instead of concentrating on International diplomacy to strategically benefit the country. Now that the US has an embargo on trade for any country that trades with Iran, our idiots have no clue on how to manage the oil supply. Be surprised if the fuel prices don't go up again and again (or contaminated fuel comes back to the country). And some day, our over dependency on China is going to backfire. That will be the real crisis.
  19. On my way to work, I noticed hundreds of commuters stranded on bus stops. Yet, the CTB buses that run the govt employees' services to Sethsiripaya, Isurupaya etc were running half-empty as usual. Perhaps this is where the extra buses went. Whenever there was a strike in the past, CTB has managed transporting commuters to their maximum ability (even using buses from their training school). That didn't seem to be the case this time. Perhaps all the excess buses are in Anuradhapura or perhaps this is just the government saying 'sod all'.
  20. correct. your turn.
  21. A lost UFO from the Andromeda Galaxy (incidentally that's where most of our trolls are from) landed somewhere in the Atlantic ocean about 15 years ago. American and Jap scientists were in a rush to investigate. Both the teams got there at the same time and the Americans decided to capture the aliens (some of them were later packed off to sri lanka and last I heard, one of them has become the 'bahirawaya' of southern expressway - trying to preach morality in Autolanka) and the Japs, being Japs, decided to take the spaceship with them. ... and this car was born!
  22. looks like that ugly chinese truck... changan or something
  23. Maruti Esteem
  24. Just a question... was it from Frontier (LR agent) or was it some other importer who brings down recons? I asked that question because Frontier doesn't offer FL2 now afaik. You must be one of the few people who have managed to get one. This is due to global supply and demand. May I suggest sending a PM to forum member Gummybr with your concern?
