New Toyota Harrier is 2500CC (actually ~2490CC) petrol engine and is subject to full luxury taxes New Merc E300 (if I assume right) is not 3000CC but 2200CC (actually ~2190CC) deisel engine and not subject to any luxury taxes as the semi luxury tax cutoff for deisel engines is 2200CC (note that Merc E220, E250, E300 all are the same 4 cylinder deisel engine but with tuned diffrerntly (+ electric motor in the case of hybrid) to produce different BHP & Torque according to the model name - applicable for the C class as well) If my memory serves me right, petrol semi luxury taxes are from 1800CC to 2199CC and above 2200CC it is full luxury tax. Deisel semi luxury taxes are from 2200CC to 3000CC (I am not sure about the upper limit here) and above 3000CC it is full luxury tax (I am sure some search will be helpful to find the accuracy)

Yes, thats actually at Nawam Mawatha (with KM plates) - that is new GT (2009-2010 onwards), with this model onwards there are no more frame-less doors. The price tag of this model could be way higher than the prices that I mentioned for the earlier model.

Hi, Yes, there are a few number of 4th Gen Legacy's in town and if I am not mistaken majority of these are turbos (with this model its no more sequential twin turbo but a larger single turbo - I guess similar to Impreza WRX turbo unit) There was one turbo legacy (auto / triptronic) for sale (I think it was 2004 or 2005 model)few months ago, a silver color one with customized 18" wheels for 4.8 million (I thought the price tag was little too steep) . I see this car around and not sure whether its been sold or not. There was another one with my friend for sale (a black, manual, customized gold color alloys, sunroof, fabric interior). As I recall, he sold this for 3.5 million range and imported new legacy GT Turbo (2010 model) - As I know the buyer of this car had met with a moderate scale accident and he was looking forward to sell the car again. this was maintained & repaired by Senok throughout. Darin had one for sale (this was long time ago I guess) - an unregistered dark blue color one, auto / triptronic, 2004, top of the spec JDM unit for 6 million range. I hope above information would help you to get an idea on price range of this (now these prizes could be lesser) As RWD suggested the best thing you can do is keep in touch with Jehan at Senok and they would know if there is any for sale these days. Also, you can keep a tab on Darin's place as well.

Hi Zhukoi, Please find my comments for your questions below. 1. Yes, of course. 2. Subaru is a main stream Jap car (Anyway, its reliability is very good, nothing to worry) 3. You can find parts without big hassles (Agents or some Panchikawatte joints) 4. I would say they are very good (Je*an is one of my friends, so I might be bias ) 5. Yes of course (Da*in's place at Pamankada is great too) 6. To the best of my knowledge NO

Always Hard Accelaration Good For The Engine?
SubaruB4TT replied to ramee's topic in General Automotive
Well Said RWD. I also think if you are driving a powerful car there is no point you drive keeping it less than 2000rpm always. No one will buy that caliber of a car if they cannot deal with its fuel consumption, good engine oils and well followed up maintenance etc. -
About the rear lights, as I know all Mazda3s that are imported through agents do have clear lights and all the Mazda Axelas (JDM version of MAzda3) are having red rear lights. Appreciate if someone can correct me if I am wrong.

ECT stands for Electronically Controlled Transmission. When you push the button in, there should be a light on the dash that says "ECT POWER". This changes the normal shift times (based on engine vacuum, rpm, and throttle position) to a later point. This means simply that the engine rpms will go higher before shifting to a higher gear when you're accelerating. It helps build speed more quickly but uses more gas to do so. Hi Guys, Can you support me to decide whether to buy a Nissan Skyline V36 (2007-08) or Toyota Mark X (2007 - 08)? What are the pros and cons of both? Thanks in advance.

I will post some pictures for sure, just give me 2 - 3 days...By the way all these are done in Japan, as far as the records show. I also had a look at this HZ car, the previous owner went for a Jag X type & if I am not mistaken it must be with the 3rd owner now. In the case of the front lip, it was pretty good looking as I can remember and painted "B4" on it horizontally. I didn't go for it since I decided not to go for a Silver colored B4, just a personal preference.

Just to share some knowledge I have on B4's...there are 3 Legacy types available in SL. 1. Subaru Legacy GL - 2.0L non turbo - Twin CAM - No Alloys or spoiler in the original car (14" rims) - Fabric / half leather interior - Rear light set is brighter colored (reddish) (note: most of GLs are modified with alloys, turbo bonnets, spoilers & even with blue / black leather interiors) 2. Subaru Legacy B4 - 2.0L non turbo - quad CAM - Alloys & Spoiler available in the original car (15" or 16" alloys) - half leather interior in the original car (most cars upgraded to blue/black leather interior) - Rear light set is darker (blackish) (note: this is having the exact same engine as B4TT except the turbo boosts) 3. Subaru Legacy B4 Twin Turbo - 2.0L two stage turbo - quad CAM - Alloys & Spoiler are standard (17" BBS alloys) - Blue / Black leather interior - Rear light set is darker (blackish) - exactly same to non turbo B4 - Have different body upgrades (Blitzen skirting, mid drop spoiler etc) (To the best of my understanding this is the version called RSK) - Late 2001 & 2002 models were upgraded with Porche developed suspension and so called Blitzen version (In Subaru Australia, they modified this version with Blitzen body kit - actually mid fall spoiler is a part of that Aussie body kit). Apart from that there are different variations of RSK like even Sti versions which I have never seen locally. I hope this information will be helpful & please re-correct me if any of the above mentioned things are wrong or so. Cheers guys!

Hi Carbon, Sorry, was out of the town... Yeah exactly, its the one with Sunroof and Aussie ROH Alloys...Well, I settled this out for 2.9 (the original asking price was 3.0), it may be little into the higher side but I closed up the deal since its condition was almost brand new!

Hi Devinda, Mine is JS series, & the color is Deep Blue Mica (I think in this thread its referred as Purple). I know one Silver color facelift RSK that is JL series & one black that is KF series. I haven't seen other cars yet.

Hi, Mine is Tiptronic with Peddle Shifts...Generally I drive to my office and back home, not daily though coz I mix my trips also with my other car (a Honda Integra, that does around 10-11) Well, frankly speaking I am not an expert in terms of mechanical but I believe that the secret should be with the Booster. there must be other ppl those who use Octane Boosters with every tank like me...if someone out there please share your experience as well!
-
Hey there, Thanks for the reply...Yeah its the facelift version RSK. Well talking about the Octane Booster, I am using Wurth (dunno telling a brand name in the forum is allowed Well, anyway I have been using this since day one, so that the RON should always be between 98-100 (as spec says) since I am using octane 95 fuel. Also buddy, make sure that you fill up at Laughs or Ceypetco gas stations...these IOC ppl are having 95 Octane but in real that is 93 Octane (One of my friends is having the test results with him) On the ECU affects side, I am blind there...if an expert can answer us please....?

Hi Friends, I am using 2002 B4TT, I need to know whether should I use a BOV or not? In this thread it was said that it decreases fuel economy...! If so what is the point of using BOV? Btw, I am using an Octane Booster per every full tank and mine does 7 to 8 a liter in Colombo and definitely 10 outstation. however if I aggressively drive it does say around 6. Hope you would help me out with my BOV concern. Tx in advance!
