  1. Just because it's a roadster doesn't mean it doesn't handle as well as a Z. Don't forget that it's about 400lbs lighter. My brother already has a Z, so no point in my getting one as well. I want a lightweight momentum car. Out of the box it's slower than the Evo and the Z, but handles better. I'm hoping I'll become a better driver trying to pull the same laptimes. An Evo makes you look good because it's easy to go fast. Also a used '04-'05 S2000 can be found for around $16k. That way I won't feel bad about spending more $$ on rollbars, trailer, tires, etc. But now it's winter, and no RWD car will match the awsomeness of an Evo in the snow Those two are made for each other. Is same sex marriage legal in SL now?
  2. Didn't find it already on the forum.
  3. Nah. Never thought I'd buy one but the car I'm looking at is a Haaaauuuuunnnduuuuuh. Redlines at around the same rpm as an M though. The S2000 CR looks tempting but I might end up getting a used regular one because I'll have to spend extra on getting a rollcage and a trailer to carry tires and tools. Life would be so much easier if I keep the Evo. No idea why I do this to myself.
  4. Thinking of getting an FR. Still undecided.
  5. You can guess why I'm silent. Got beaten by "Salsa X" I'm blaming it on the fact that it was home turf for him and six hard braking points on rough asphalt with no ABS == locking up for me (bad course design in my opinion aka sore loser). So I've challenged him to a REAL autox on neutral ground. Better do it quick coz I'm thinking about getting a different car, so what I said about once you go evo there's no going back was a lie!

  7. They repaved Limerock and I've heard that it's a lot better so we'll probably do that before winter hits. I'm doing down to VIR end of August for a two day event. 8-9 hour drive though NJ Motorsports Park has a nice new track (http://www.njmotorsportspark.com/tracks.html) which I'm also looking to do. Closer for you.
  8. Gonna be in SL in Sept. I'd love to get a ride in the TM if you don't mind.
  9. Once you go Evo there's no going back
  10. http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=360497 That's one sick looking Evo. I know the wing is functional... but DAAAAYUM!
  11. Really Machang?
  12. Ah really wish this was in September when I'll be in Colombo. Could've borrowed someone's Evo for it too
  13. To quote a little kid at Kataragama. "Apo! Meka Weda Daapu Lancer Ekak ne!"
  14. Hmmm.... dejavu hanging onto the rollcage of an Evo IV in the rear.... hahaha
  15. Yeah that ricer wanted the big wing. Real drivers don't even need wings I did get to drive it, couldn't really push it as it had only 200 miles. Car feels "grown up", not in a bad way. Hopefully it's as nice to drive as those before it. My only gripe is the steering wheel. The material isn't nice, and because of those fat button galore spokes you can't wrap your hands around it. Imageshack seems to be having a bad day, images aren't showing up. I put them up here as well: http://thepadayas.com/gallery.php?galleryId=57
  16. The "Salsa MR" is no more. Traded in like just another cheap disposable Japanese toy without any hesitation. Ungrateful for it's loyal service during the harsh winter months, and the abuse it (and it's other passengers) were subjected to when crappy Salasa/Merengue/WhateverThatShitIsCalled music was played on it's cheap factory CD player. Forgotten are the many trophies that it brought home - be they beer mugs signifying achievements at motorsport, or hot one night stands from the salsa club - as seen through beer goggles. Goodbye faithful "Salsa MR". Hellooo Evo X! That bastard has no sentimental value. I'm keeping my IX!

  18. "Salsa MR" and I had some fun at a snow rallycross last weekend. Four to six inches of snow over a good two inch sheet of ice. As long as you were in the deep snow traction was good, but where the snow had been cleared by cars it was like a skating rink. Later in the day when it warmed up the cars broke through the ice and we saw some dirt! The Evos loved the dirt! Sorry, the camera guy didn't get much of the other cars, just our two rally queens: http://thepadayas.com/gallery.php?galleryId=56
  19. This minor detail was left out of the results when it was first conveyed to me. Congrats to Upulwan for showing all the mighty AWD Turbo cars how it's done. Especially those 'specialist' autocrossers
  20. Anyone got any videos?
  21. Ah we're just talking about a mutual friend who drives an Evo VIII MR... and takes pride in his Salsa skills... hence the name
  22. Yeah with a bird in one hand and a bottle in the other
  23. Doesn't explain why the 5-spd Evo X was slower.
  24. No commentary http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akFMs90a8Rw So.... what's your reaction? I'm smiling
