    Foxhill

He used to embarrass a lot of AWD guys with that SiR at Foxhill. About time he stepped up to the game. Hopefully someone will film it so those of us not able to be there can see it.

That GTi-R was powered by Wild Boars
  3. AAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Machang you're hilarious. Late 30's my ass.
  4. I'm sure there were a lot of factors involved in his time that day. As Evilmak pointed out, I was just giving him a hard time for no reason... even though he's not on the forum As far as the Evo IX vs X comment, didn't mean to open a can of worms. But I wouldn't be surprised if the X is going to turn out to be something like the GT-R. Great performance, great handling, but a little too chubby for some things.
  5. The X is going to be heavy and bloated. He's convinced that the IX is the ultimate Evo. That's not to say that he won't buy the X when it comes out, sell the IX for a great deal (to some lucky guy), do the same mods, and beat the old record by 0.02s
  6. I miss my Casio video game watch where I could not only check the time, but also spend time destroying alien robots who were planning on invading the moon... or something like that
  7. Thanks for the timings. Does this mean Nishan's Evo IX is only 0.02s better than his old Evo VIII? If you ask me I don't think the upgrade was worth it
  8. What to expect: http://www.autoblog.com/category/new-york-auto-show/
  9. Still debating if I should go. Went last year and was a little disappointed.
  10. My bet is either an Evo or an STi
  11. Thanks machang. Didn't mean to bother anyone, but I had only seen a few pics so far. Looking forward to KLM's pics and video clips.
  12. Anyone have the pictures?
  13. No problem. I don't know him personally, just know his car
  14. Standard US spec ECU. I'm sure the hardware must be very similar to the Japan spec ECU, but the fuel maps and MIVEC maps are different.
  15. No GT in the US. See MSRP and specs here : http://mitsubishicars.com/MMNA/jsp/index.do
  16. Machang I saw that car when I was in SL in November. Didn't know it was yours. That's probably the nicest RX-8 I've seen! I'm also sure I saw your (old) Suby parked somewhere near Wattala.
  17. I can't justify owning a car like this unless I race it. Did about 10 autocross events last year and one track day.
  18. Actually the debut was at Kotmale. http://thepadayas.net/media/videos/MVI_0900.AVI http://thepadayas.net/media/videos/MVI_0905.AVI http://thepadayas.net/media/videos/MVI_0908.AVI
  19. Nope. That's strictly for the UK. Lucky buggers. Honestly I think the US get's the worst versions of the Evo. 1. California has only 91 octane fuel, so the cars are turned for that and thus produce less torque and bhp. Stock boost on an Evo 9 is only 1.3 bar. 2. The GSR equivalent doesn't have AYC 3. The RS, GSR, and MR all have the same engine whereas the JDM cars all have different turbocharger compressors and different fuel and MIVEC maps. 4. There's no close-ration gearbox for the RS. 5. The Recaros are redesigned for fat amercans so we swish around like we're in a bath tub
  20. Did 140mph (224kmh) trying to keep up with a 996 Turbo. He got away
  21. This happened in my town, but I didn't hear about it until I saw the news article.
  22. Saw this? http://www.autoblog.com/2006/11/08/rallyli...ec-c-type-ra-r/
  23. Seems like it. I drove the "Salsa MR" and the old girl is pretty quick. But she can't catch up to the IX RS on an autox course (yet) so that's all I care
  24. So when are you gonna race YOUR car?
