  1. Since I am bored of talking about Vezel mirrors not reflecting and Hybrids not doing fuel as much as the next door neighbors Axio, I thought of starting a thread solely dedicated to the discussion of great places to stop and eat on our roads.
  2. I can tell you now what will be the main topic of discussion.. KMPL!!!!!! Some will go home feeling like winners, some will go home depressed and will probably jump in a well.
  3. Forget Sri Lankans, it seems Japs themselves cant understand... I once asked my Manager who is a Jap about the instructions written on the Subie gear console, he scratched his head and said Not sure... LOL! It was a truly WTF moment.
  4. What next? An automatic arse washer for all our Vezel owners?
  5. Jeez.... the problems people buy for 5 million....
  6. tell us the truth... it is not for her right?

    Car Jerks

Whats the going rate for left testicles these days? LOL. I am a firm believer in the Italian Tune method of solving minor glitches in cars. Having owned 2 Italian cars that works very well under extreme driving conditions I can attest to the success of a good thrashing on a clear road. My current 155, after months of hibernation, is now singing like Celine Dion high on crack in Las Vegas. Everything works, long dormant systems comes on line at 100Kmph.

    Car Jerks

Had the OP checked online, he would have learned that the Error with the EGR is easily remedied by a good thrashing at high speed... Apparently, according to some forums I read, it is a common problem with many Honda Engine EGR's and can be remedied. easily.

.... and this is why I use old cars... I avoid dealing with the Mudlali types...
  10. I sure do... When did you buy yours?
  11. There is a quite active Italian Car Enthusiast Club in Sri Lanka...
  12. Most SUV buyers in LK goes for the Pada Show potential/quality of the vehicle. Very few will ever use it to its full potential. Case in point, the Zotye Nomad buyers... They are just above the D*MO Batta demographic... Almost all the Palath sabha buggers drive or yearn to drive/own a SUV, bigger the better. The Wow factor for the poor villagers is the key there. Let us not even start discussing the politicians and the MPs and their kith and kin. Check the Wanted Ads on the papers, Almost all new CEO/MDs from the B grade companies look for a SUV to rent or buy. Why? Because the position is not consolidated if one does not drive an SUV.
  13. You cant have an SUV AND ask for great fuel consumption... unless its a diesel... buy a Hilux.
  14. One only has to troll the classic car pages of FB to see what our standards of what a Classic Car is...
  15. every old car is a classic in Sri Lanka...
  16. Our GP's Blue and Me never worked from Brand new.... I read in a forum somewhere that the new phone Bluetooth is not compatible with the older versions installed in the car. They ahd a list of compatible phones in that. Look it up. We never bothered with it.

  19. Unless I travelled along the coast on an extended trip, I normally don't get an undercarriage wash at all. The only time I get an undercarriage wash done is when there is a repair to be done on the suspension or engine. It helps to have it clean.
  20. The flashing Odometer symptom can be remedied by connecting it to the Fiat Scanner and clearing the data. Indika has it and he did that once. But remember if you disconnect the battery you need to reset everything again. Euros do not like the battery being disconnected for no reason. If the GB does not engage initially, switch off the ignition, pull out the key and redo. I noticed that this happens if you leave the car in gear and switch off. Always have your foot on the brake before you start.
  21. or you can get a SR20DET and somehow squeeze it in....
  22. Pork curry?? Did anyone say pork curry???
  23. There is no magic brand or a magic bullet to sort all your issues machang. Surf the net on the Nissan/NISMO sites and try to get an understanding of what you need.... There is no limit as to what you can do. Only limiting factor will be practicality and cost. Keep in mind that you have a AK12, by definition a small economical car. What you are planning on doing will make it costly to run fuel wise, are you prepared? If you are not, stop wasting your time.
  24. Its a transponder, when you turn the ignition on, there is a small transmitter in the key barrel that sends a signal to check if the right key is inserted, when the correct signal is received back from the transponder the car starts. YOu won't find circuitry. Don't fcuk around with it too much as if you lose it you can kiss starting tour car goodbye until you get the replacement key from the agents. Its not rocket science. Most Euros from the 80s and 90s had it. Remove the steering column casing and find the key barrel, tape it with duct tape and you can use a cut key without any issues.
  25. Actually you can. I had a similar problem with my old 164. What I did was take the transponder and have it taped to the key barrel with duct tape securely. That way you can use the newly cut key.
