We can always call on the big rosso if you cant!
but i dont think the defender is a good idea... for that drive you really need something low and sporting.
Do you imagine every other car owner in the country has the same degree of car obsession as you or I? most people dont remember when they last had their car serviced, forget keeping service records!
@ rez, 10.5 is an ok price, try and get it a little lower about 10.25 or 10 even...
Should have barred you from answering!
in any case, Sti B4 got it right slightly afterwards so no harm done...
@ Miniace, yes indeed rules are like trivia... winner gets the posting priviledge and we'll stick to locally available cars as far as we can..
Devinda can go ahead..
damn! Sounds like someone has put some serious thought into how to do that! whoever said that really should do what Elvis said and go to instruct F1 drivers!
Incidentally, IMO if someone were to attempt hammering down the straight and taking that corner at the speeds you mention (whilst avoiding those bumps) they would have a lot of explaining to do the members of the services who tend to hang around in that area! Hopefully, they wont shoot first and ask questions later!
Personally, advocating that sort of buffoonery in a public forum is not very adviseable.
Somewhere around 950k to 1.1 million is about the going rate for the early FB14's depending on condition and number etc... what's the number of the car you looked at?
by the way, if you are expecting it to do 15 to the liter you are going to be sorely disappointed mate, average for a FB14 should be around about 9 or 10 in the city with maybe 12-14 long distance if you drive carefully... So dont go after this car based on the owner's testimony.. he IS trying to sell you the car after all!
Although there arent specific rules on this thread, general courtesy dictates that you wait for the floor to be thrown open to all before adding something.
yep, not only that its the sporty alfasud Ti!! this car which is in SL and has an interesting history was previously languishing in a "collection", which had more in common with a junkyard!
thankfully though this story unlike many such tales has a happy ending and it now is the pride and joy of our very own CHAP, who is bringing her back to better than her former glory!
Floor is yours Ace. PLEASE do post something
Borrowing an idea from one of the popular american car blogs, Jalopnik...
Much like trivia, only the picture is of an engine bay, answers have to guess the what the engine/car is.
Lets see how this one goes.
Huge Cache Of Mustangs Can Be Yours For $700,000
Yet again, those americans have it too damn good!!

Pugs of that generation are amusing drives anyway and the 406 actually had a form of passive rear wheel steer system thanks to the complex multi-link arrangement. They do have a tendency to be a little bit tail happy if you push it, so slightly wider rubber back there wouldnt hurt...
Really? you didnt know? that was the result of lotus trying to re-invent the wheel so to speak in the late 80's (when else?) and deciding that conventional sports car wisdom was all wrong and that the layout of hot hatches was the way to go... transverse FWD in a roadster.... Unfortunately though it was a nice idea they launched it just about slightly after mazda decided to try it's hand at making a modernized copy of the original RWD elan, and we all know how that story went!
