  1. That might well be the reason ... but seriously mate GT is a VERY tough game to get the hang of, the key thing is that the handling of the cars is as realistic as it is possible to get on a game.... each and every car has subtle differences and you need to get used to 'em to be at all quick. I first played it on my neighbour's PS2 (straight from NFS) and was all over the place! didnt stop me from gettin hooked though..... sadly, I havent been able to play in awhile....
  2. Very true... mind you thats for the standard 2.0L model.... we used a 2.5L "25 Eximo G" model for a few weeks some time ago.... The performance and smoothness/comfort were fantastic (this was a jap spec), and it was great to drive as well, but the fuel was a real shocker..... calculating it later we found it had don e something like 4 Km/l!!!! if you nailed the gas hard, you could actually SEE the fuel gauge drop...
  3. I agree.... Personally I feel that going BMW was a collective low point in 007 history.... In '95 Aston had the Twin Supercharged Vantage available, they really should have used that, still glad to see things are now back to normal.... Z3 apparently shared the compact platform, which meant it had the E30's rear end as well.... Im not too sure, but i think you're right about the Mini having the Z Axle back end....
  4. Well Goldeneye came out in 1995, at that point in time the Z3 was just being launched and the M Coupe probably still an idea (launched in 1998 if im not mistaken) AFAIK the Z3 was based on the E36 3 Series Compact, which had the front end of an E36 and the Back of an E30..... by the way, Wasnt the "Z-Axle" Rear end the more expensive and complicated setup that was used in the E36? If memory serves correctly I believe the E30 made do with a trailing Arm setup, which in turn was fitted to the E36 Compact for cost reasons, and therefore the Z3....
  5. that's an idea bro, but did you notice the bit about the fuel consumption? 150 Liters per Hour! in airplane territory!
  6. I really do wonder What on EARTH anybody in SL is going to do with one of those.....
  7. with all due respect Mr Engineer, people here on the forums have now given their considered opinion on the matter and the general consensus appears to be that Converting a Honda Vtec to LPG is not a very good idea due to a variety of factors, another point that is becoming evident is that No one who runs/has run an LPG converted Vtec appears to be on this forum, which might give you another hint.... Since you appear to have rebuttals (some not very polite I might add) to every opinion expressed thus far, and also seem to have convinced yourself that this conversion is a good idea, Then i suppose it makes sense to go ahead and carry out the conversion..... after all as you've said its Your Car and Your Petrol/Gas
  8. great cause, will be there for sure.... don't have a mini unfortunately, but MIGHT bring something that runs many of the same mechanicals... A series motor for example.....
  9. look at the above post, gives details of not one but several vtec to gas conversions gone wrong..... by the way, racersedge is AL's authority on all things honda, so you should really pay attention to what he says...
  10. then in all honesty you'd be be better off selling the ek3 and buying a toyota, as several people have pointed out on this thread, honda engines arent really suited to LPG conversions
  11. I think I have an idea as well...... but I could be wrong of course
  12. Many happy returns of the day dude, hope the up coming year will be a superb one.... Cheers P.S. When's the treat?
  13. miniace, is this car in SL by any chance?
  14. THATS a rather suprising choice GTam..... may i ask why? I've always liked the GTC4.... essentially almost a 4 seat daytona.... it looks pretty as well, apart from the black plastic in front....
  15. Sorry to revive this thread, but K89, how's your bug doing?
  16. That's very interesting, thanks for sharing that GTam, this could probably explain why D*MO Recommended that we pump 90 octane instead of 95....
  17. there arent THAT many of those...... Personal picks would be the 308 GT4, 348 and the 400i Automatic...
  18. again adding to old thread here, but to answer Harshan's question.... We ran a D9 1.8 ltr 406 (Uk import) for around a year and a half, almost exclusively pumped 95 octane, and it was as smooth as you like.... on one or two occasions i did pump 90 octane to see if there was a difference and IMHO there WAS a certain drop in performance (though by no means catastrophic) when compared to 95 octane.
  19. AFAIK they werent officially entered into competition, though a couple of modded ones apparently ran for production car speed records....
  20. Ferrari 250 GT Lusso..... IMO the prettiest Ferrari ever made.... just look at those lines! *droool
  21. Duesenberg SJ Speedster.... one of the earliest "Supercars" Supercharged Straight 8 Developing nigh on 320 BHP, 0-60 in under 8, and top speed "in excess of" 135mph..... not to mention more than two tonnes in weight!
  22. Tata Motors India Has just unveiled the "Nano", the world's cheapest production vehicle..... This car is powered by a 624cc rear engine and is supposed to be 20% more spacious than a Maruti 800... the key attraction of course, is the price, which starts at just 100,000 Rupees (India)-around 2500 USD. this vehicle will apparently bring new car ownership to a whole new category of people... Further Info http://www.tatapeoplescar.com/tatamotors/ - Official site, has a "Build a car" feature with some funky options... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tata_Nano http://news.uk.msn.com/Article.aspx?cp-documentid=7199981 Wonder If They'll be bringing it here?
  23. wow, great Idea ! here goes..... 20's Bentley 6.5 ltr speed six Lancia Lambda Alfa 6C 1500 1930;s Duesenberg SJ Speedster BMW 328 Lancia Aprilia 1940's Citreon 2cV Volkswagen Beetle MG T series 1950's Ferrari 410 Superamerica Jaguar XK120 Ford Thunderbird Mk 1 (1955) 1960's Ferrari 250GT Lusso Shelby Cobra 427 S/C Ford Mustang Mk1 1970's Porsche 911 Carrera RS Jaguar XJ12 Series 3 BMW 3.0L CSL 1980's Aston Martin V8 Vantage BMW M5 (E34) Audi Quattro S1 1990's Mclaren F1 Ferrari 355 GTB Bentley Turbo R 2000's Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Maserati Quattroporte GT-S Jaguar XK-R
  24. in case of a misunderstanding id like to point out that I like the mechanical symphony a great engine makes as well.... there ARE times however where one requires something different, hence this list.... GTam, interesting selection by the way.... some of those i really need to go look up myself! oh, and as for the Spice Girls.... couldnt agree more, very good wind-down song...
  25. please do (both Finding the CD, and dusting off the software), be interesting to see your picks...
