On his behalf..... apparently the car is supposed to do upto 8km/l in town (certain Z owners have said).... Devinda's car manages 5-6 usually..... it's supposedly the plugs machan.... the OEM spark plugs provide better efficiency than the nes that hes currently got according to devinda.....

150 BHP is quite decent, though nothing special in today's context.... but its never going to be as smooth and just plain enjoyable as the six is it? anyway the E46 320i (which was a 2.2 i think) had 170 BHP

Amen to that brother!! it really is ridiculous to see the crap they put on..... However you should watch "Pimp My Ride UK". THEY do a much better job on the vehicles... Still pretty "bling" but SO much better than the american monstrosities..... they did a Capri that I actually found pretty damned cool

Very Futuristic, but still unmistakeably a Jaguar. It's nice to see them abandoning the "retro" kick they've been on for so long..... Jag's best ever cars like the XK120, E-type, the first XJ saloon and the XJ-S were designs that were radically different from anything that had gone before, and that's why they did so well...... why they are now legendary.... glad that they finally seem to be taking that to heart

yeah, I read that the E90 would be a 4 pot too..... backward step IMO, but then they must have their reasons (I'm guessing economy) btw, only the E46 320d was a 4 cyl right? the 330d was (and is) a straight six..... LOVE that engine, esp in it's new twin turbo configuration.....

You're very right GTam.... there are a couple of cosmetic issues that require immediate attention (a couple of fair-sized dents.... long story), but im going to sort the mechanicals out and leave the painting for later..... suffering withdrawal symptoms already

Thanks Guys..... yeah i was beginning to wonder myself about it.... but yeah it was a decent buy, tho there's still quite a lot to do..... all stock machan and the interior's lovely.... gonna keep it as close to stock visually as possible. might fit a decent set of alloys if i can find some that look right as for the mechanicals....... they are in fairly decent shape... have big plans wil post more pics as we go along.... i'll open a new thread maybe...

'course i'm willing to share bro.... well its a 1969 YOM but registered in '80 (brought down late), 1300 engine, 4 owners on the book... cost a bit over 200,000.. as to why it's garaged....... well it had been unused for awhile and there were some issues to be sorted out... bit of corrosion, gear selector issue, some cosmetic work and a bit of a problem with the brakes..... actually, a HELL of a problem with the brakes also, since it's in, i'm thinking of having it repainted as well...
