  1. I think we all understood that about you mate ... it takes a special octane level of petrol in the veins to be able to run a collection such as yours after all......
  2. ado, quite by accident came across someone to go check the bug out..... another relation of mine had an EL reg bug till very recently, he said lets go look......
  3. yeah bro i am good to hear from you after awhile...
  4. I was actually wondering how i could go about doing that....... Nimal Wimalasuriya the Editor of Mototmag?? Thanks, yes i'll do that.
  5. machan dont you mean CLS?
  6. thanks for clearing that up..... interior colour is no prob incidentally...... but it HAS to e midnight blue
  7. I think he meant SLK...... if its a black one with AMG kit..... yeah it's quick, but not as quick as a certain Z.....
  8. thanks Gtam, how about owners manuals??? would you know anywhere? i found online copies, but i'd like to get hold of a hard copy if i can...
  9. To revive this discussion, does anyone know where i can get hold of workshop manuals and owners manuals for bugs??? and also think i have found the car..... will keep updated......
  10. DAAAAMMMMNNNN ... Some of those are a-m-a-z-i-n-g man...... esp the one with the truck sittin on top of a Ferrari 360...... Ouch,.....
  11. yeah D_Z'S not a huge diesel fan (execpt for Land Rovers )... I fully concur.. that 3.0 diesel is something VERY special.. even better in twin turbo form in the 535d IMO...... now THAT is one hell of a car... seriously though, question for madmax, is the 320d as entertaining?? the only E46's i've driven have been a pair of 318i's, and they are pretty good.....
  12. ahh... you're back...... about time....
  13. ahh..... my bad... but it's amusing nonetheless....
  14. and indeed ROTFL, man that is priceless..... i hope you took it off though, to save the poor chap's blushes....
  15. er no, i think you'll find that the datsun 240Z was mainly an in house design...... although popularly credited to Goertz, he was only involved at the very early stages....... so the 2000GT is actually the only completely foreign design.... Ill grant that american technology is light years behind the europeans, but that again is because their country is MASSIVE, not all roads are great, and fuel quality is comparatively poor, so the cars have to be rugged and simple.... theires no denying that a 60's Alfa or Lancia was on a different level altogether when it came to technology, but ask them to put up with the duty cycle that the average american car went through, and they wouldn't last a month!!!! and as for the Vette's engine.... yes it is a technological joke when compared to, say an F430's Motor, BUT that old pushrod lump can last for hundreds of thousands of hard driven miles, even with NO care..... try doing THAT to a quad cam, 40 valve, 9000 Redlined italian V8.... and it still delivers 400 + horses innit? Im a europhile myself (I CHOSE a peugeot after all... knowing full well about the quirks), but i don't believe that great cars came ONLY from europe......
  16. errm, thats a quattroporte isn't it? looks a bit different around the nose..... the "Gran Turismo" (is it really going to be called that?) looks very good..... glad to see that Maserati are again building cars that recall their glorious heritage.... jostling for top spot on my list of "cars that i WILL own one day, even if i have to break several banks" is a Ghilbi SS in midnight blue with black interior... (sigh)
  17. Agreed. the A5 does smack of a touch of design laziness, But IMO i'd still pick it over a 6-series anyday (except possibly the M6 , unless there is an RS5....... )
  18. Bigger but only just..... Mona, how about you??
  19. errm... i think you'll find that's a CLIO!!! Deffa the Mermaid (top half Human)....
  20. Come on now boys, we are being a bit uncharitable calling it a "New Box Lancer"........ i actually think this is a good effort, ESPECIALLY when compared to the stupendously dull previous generation ...... yeah the shape is not particularly new or exciting, but the detailing is decent IMO. Bodes well for the EVO
  21. funnily enough I just noticed this, and if i may add my 2c.... almost ANY american four-door sedan of 1968 had well over 250BHP, so they should be considered as well eh?
  22. Errm. try You Only Live Twice - Toyota 2000GT Convertible. and as for your argument that the japs don't make good looking cars, may i personally reccomend that you look at: Toyota 2000GT, Datsun 240Z(Esp the 240ZG Long nose), Mazda RX 7, Mazda Eunos Cosmo (The Original 60's example), Honda NSX Type R and Nissan 300ZX (Z32) The fact that the europeans found it difficult to acknowledge that the japanese could make cars that verged on greatness doesn't mean we should too...
  23. hey man, sorry this is late..... yeah, i checked them out at the edex.... they sounded V good, I met this kularatne chap as well..... he sounded like a bit of an operator to me...... the whole place seemed so good that it left me thinking "too good to be true?" glad to hear that it seems good. I dropped you a mail btw, did you get it??
  24. Honestly machan I think Minis are a bit too expensive now..... I like the car a lot, but when you see really good ones going for around 8-900,000, then it begins to look like bad value (at least for my pocket ). And I don't like the driving position..
  25. he he kema thibbama ohoma thamai...... one of my good days actually Thanx a lot bro, will keep in touch..... have to call you about the beetle anyway.......
