Thats what scuttlebutt says... This is more like a trial of tech which will filter down to other cars in the range including something that will be a spiritual descendant of the Supra. I for one will keep my fingers crossed.

You have a good point there machan... unfortunately when it comes to the state sector, everybody in the lower ranks is well aware of how much money is being made by their lords and masters, that isnt exactly a secret ne... so no wonder really that the little blokes also want a slice of the pie. At the risk of sounding like a red, we have to acknowledge that these people ARE responding to a series of cock ups on the governments part. I mean come on, no salary increase in 3 years? One of my office guys went a few weeks ago, he had gone at 7 and it was already very long. So it will have to be early then.

Actually, Amila tyres are the agents for pirelli, and as far as i know they've done a decent job... As to the 80k, where was this? was it in SL? because conditions here do tend to wear tyres out considerably faster than abroad.

Excellent initiative machan, dunno whether there are many Fiore owners here... but you can find out soon. I believe harshan has one. Also a small point, I think it's a violation of AL rules to promote other SL car websites, even those of an owners club... so it might make more sense to simply do your web work on AL itself, like the Mazda Ford club does so well... Im not entirely certain about that rule mind you, could be wrong, so just check with MADZ or peri... Anyway, all the best with the club!

Can I ask what your budget is like? and any particular reason for looking specifically for a Maruti 800? Because IMO for the kind of money that even used 800s are going for these days, you can get a MUCH better car.

Because it's a BRITISH magazine perhaps? Brit car journos were never the most unbiased people around lol... remember those late 80's articles about the Jag XJ40? "Best car in the world!!", "Britain conquers the germans!!", "Jaguar's new world beater!!" etc etc Im as stymied as you about the renault though....
