  1. Suzuki SX4?
  2. Oh yeah i did see that one! good results on the smart were only to be expected, since it was designed by Mercedes, with all of the relevant safety standards in mind.... As to the Nano, this just goes to show that the indians are entirely capable to making something innovative and competitive, if they only get themselves out of the "Copy it, deduct some features and sell it cheap" mentality.... The nano is an indian vehicle im actually looking forward to trying out.
  3. Head down to delkanda on highlevel road as mazdaspeed mentioned. There are plenty of body parts shops in that area and they willl def be able to sort you out since the vios is a very popular model. Somewhere like Autobase will work i guess...
  4. yes, the santro is not a particularly heavy car so technically it SHOULD do quite a bit better than that. Firaz, is your car a manual or an automatic by the way? The auto santros were supposed to be a little on the thirsty side if i recall correctly.
  5. somewhere between 1.3 and 1.4 million is a good bet... since primeras arent much in demand, values tend to keep on the affordable side. If the seller is in a hurry you should be able to get it for less.
  6. Interestingly, the Tata Nano has passed Euro Crash tests... This is all the more interesting because of the massive discussion we were having over on the "Modified Chapathi" thread.... Guess fresh thinking does indeed win over rehashed old leftovers... http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/Tata-Nano/241500/
  7. Says the man who posted two huge, capitalized posts. Today.
  8. Dont worry too much about it machan, as long as you're alert to your surroundings, you can be safe 80-90% of the time... If there's one thing about small cars, they make one a more alert driver since you have to keep focus when driving among busses and the like. I apologize if your "feelings were hurt" in any way, but that certainly wasnt the intention, all this thread says is that used japanese cars are really far better options in the price range than a maruti would be... it isnt intending to openly put down maruti buyers or anything, though wagon R man has been shouting to that effect, just stating some plain facts. It would also have concluded at that if certain clowns didnt start waving indian flags around in here and acting all indignant for no good reason. anyways, lets just forget about it and move on....Cheers
  9. Good lord! i WOULD respond, but i wouldnt know where to start! suffice to say those were two of the most amusing posts i've seen in a long time well its about time this thread concluded, since it was sorta rudderless, so amen to that. Had more than my fill of indian chapathi's for some time.....
  10. ding dingg!!... we have a winner!! it is indeed an E3, actually the only one ive seen in the country... and it is rather a sad state...
  11. afraid not ace....
  12. Previous thread was getting a little over long and tough to load, so here's hoping the new thread will become active once again...
  13. haha, that car tends to stick in the memory machan! i see it on the road a lot in the boralesgamuwa area, which is why i remembered it..... I think i'll post my contribution on a new thread, this one takes an AGE to load.
  14. well said harshan... may i ask what car it was that you just mentioned having an accident in? hope it wasnt too serious... and samishka, you arent really proving anything mate, beyond the fact that you appear to have your head in the sand, so do yourself a favour and consider the matter closed. Nobody on this thread is going to come around to your way of thinking, so accept that and move on.
  15. Ive seen this on the road somewhere, its a 70's jap saloon that has been hideously modified with the lights of some later cars and a lot of fiber crap... Im thinking its a 70;s corolla or a 70's mitsubishi galant
  16. Super pictures dilesh, the models look AWESOME, some look positively real!
  17. Tsk Tsk MRM, adding fuel to an already raging fire...
  18. Many happy returns of the day man!! hope you have a great one!!
  19. Wooo WooOO!!! Congrats VVti, nothing like voting with your wallet! Im actually a tad jealous because i was drooling over that car myself, still its "in the family" so no worries!! Best of luck with her mate!

  21. Rear is supposed to look much better in the metal, although i dont see how. To me it looks like they tried to rip off a Citroen C6, and didnt get it quite right!

  23. not really all that funny when you consider that a mother/wife died thanks to the maruti's crap construction.... heck when i saw those pics i first thought that it seems to be reasonably in one piece considering, was quite horrified to hear that Guru's friend passed away as a result of this... Those poor kids! @ Ek3, where are your "advanced safety features" now eh? this is exactly the sort of thing that should be publicised among people, to ensure that this worthless piece of outdated junk loses its market share.
  24. Sorry Peri, put it down to frustration lol.... has been corrected.
