I dont think the sprinter has some special device to bleed the lines. Due to over heating I re-filled the radiator several times with water.
-
No the engine was washed with the low pressure water line. But I fear water went in to the fuse and relay compartments. They only cover the delco before washing. During the service they topped up the radiator with water, can this lead to any issue?
-
Thanks a lot Bro!!! Thats a very valuable piece of advice. will check that.

Sorry about the inconveniance caused. The fan did not work even when steam was coming from the radiator resovir tank cap. But when the AC was ON the fan randomly came ON and OFF. After replacing the heat sensor the fan did work with out the AC but still the heat goes up and the fan did not respond to the rising heat. I fear some thing wrong with the relay control of the fan as u said.

The fellow is quite well reputed for the auto electrical repairs. If it is taken to someone else will I end up replacing every thin one at a time. What if I get the fan direct supply?
-
Yes he did so, and thats why the temp sensor was changed. The problem seems to appear on random instances, highly unpredictable.
-
Temp probe was changed, and the wiring was checked. Still no good
-
Yes the engine bay was washed. The fan works when given direct supply. Activation switch or the heat sensor was replaced but no good.

Took the case to an auto electrician. The fan worked when given direct supply. Fan did not work at all when the AC was off, regardless of the engine heat. there fore the heat sensor was changed. still the problem is there. I fear if this continues the gaskets also may get damged. :-(

Dear gents, My car engine heat reaches very high levels after getting it serviced few days back. Noticed that the fan is not responding quite accurately to the engine heat. Some times it only works with the AC. and the air flow seems to have droped too. Its an AE110 sprinter and looks like something is not OK with the radiator fan. Any body plaese help!! Thanks!

The Bridgestone tyre tread pattern is not recommended and its more grooved than Dunlop tyres. Originally it was Kumho, then changed in to Dunlop. Now it is a Michelin set. The car has done only 125000 Km. When the tires do around 25,000 the humm becomes more audible.
-
There is a very disturbing humm generated from the front tyres. This is a 4WD Tucson which does much of the driving on poorly paved roads. The humm is very prominent when driving on carpet roads. After a lot of inspections the agents told to replace the tyre as the grove depth, tread pattern and wear resulted in the noise. Any suggestions?

http://www.motortraffic.gov.lk/org_main.php Any body know a official way to get the history of ownership, insuarance claims of a vehicle?
-
As for your problem the issues seems to be re-connecting the slipped off drain pipes to fittings. To do that, the entire hood will have to be ripped off. I think some reputed cushion house along Wijerama area will be able to do it. The agents are not alrounders. We had a repeating repair involved with the air bag sensor located under the front passenger seat of the same vehicle. A windsceern replacement of a Matrix was so poor we got it changed after complaing. I would say these are specialised jobs, which dont come in the repair manuals and stuff. There are other people who can manage them. But for those things requiring special diagnosis, reference to repair manuals ( engine, transmission, electrical and some undercarriage) it is always better to stick with the agents.

STDP (southern transport development project) is divided in to three sections Section 1 Kottawa to Mathugama Done by Chaina harbour construction company, ground works are almost over and asphalting has started. The highlevel will be going over the highway at Makumbura and the entry to the highway will be in the paddy field next to munchee. Due be completed in mid 2011. Section 2 Mathgama to Kuruduhgaha (Elpitiya) Done by Taisae corporation, part of it getting asphalted, a huge bridge is being constructed to cross Kaluganaga. Due to be completed in early 2011 Section 3 Elpitiya to Matara Constructed by Kumagai gumi, finishing works in progress.

Even after the ECU treatment there was a slight problem and the fuel filter was replaced. No more check engine! The idle speed is extra smooth and during the last 800 Kms the performance was above expected level. If i had gone replacing the sensors as instructed donno where it will end up. Credit goes to my mechanic who went by the theoritical andlogical analysis.

The fello is kind of "yanne koheda-malle pol" and it seems to be the way with him. I think there is a lot of misunderstanding here, rather than diverting away from the topic the purpose is to share knowledge. Sylvi, you need not to provide your job records and boast about them as proof for what you r saying. COOL down gents!

What with 50,000 for all the tinkering, painting, interior (hood lining, pannels, seats) and finishing?? Mind the estimates, there will be alterations to the canopy and the rear portion and the painting itself will shoot up well above 50,000. And there are some Toyota Dyna crew cabs converted in to vans ( not the Dyna van, this has no sliding door) with fitting dolphine rear cuts. I think these were made in Japan. Some what the same principle applied, but quite a bit frankie..
-
Looked like a original (single smart) cab, the damages to the outer parts were quite not much. The rear portion had been sort of removed due to the collision.
