Hi ppl, There was a recent news about re-enforcing the laws on vehicle parking. Does this mean that we cant park on the side of a road? or only on restricted to parking on pavements? anyone has an idea about the road rules regarding parking? Last night I saw a Nissan March beign towed heartlessly to the police station cuz the driver had parked it on the pavement .

Having hands-on experience on a Matrix, I think you shouldnt go for one unless you wish to hold on to it for a long time and have the time and money to attend to the more problem prone MPV than the japanese models. The problematic areas to my knowledge and experience are the gearbox(on autos), suspension and of course the fuel efficiency. There is an OK 2nd hand market but you will have to bear-up the comments of potential buyers who will condemn the vehicle in all aspects. Apart from that its an excellent vehicle in terms of looks, legspace, comfort & options (leather seats, cup holders, foldeable rear seats, map reader lights etc) . So, its a bargain. If the Matrix has really won a place in your heart its best you take a Korean Car expert with you and buy one in good condition for a really low price. Good luck mate!

Ya, can somebody alse let us know abt Autop*l service cuz even when I checked for prices on Security Systems at the Colombo Motor Show, Autopal was the only one with 18months warranty ! I'm having doubts whether they will live upto their word after some bad expeirence someone at AL had with them.

Hw abt this. If the second hand sellers in large numbers cease to sell their vehicles temporarily (in order to avoid a loss). There would be a short supply of available second hand cars, rite?. Practically not everybody will buy a brand new/recon vehicle. e.g if i wanna buy an EK3, i cant get it imported can I? so if the demand for 2nd hand cars become greater than the supply, there's still hope for sellers to demand a good price to a certain extent I dnt know just had a thought....

Hi Macho... also make sure that u take that sticker with you. The one with the registration number which you paste on the windscreen. They asked for mine when i went to ge ma new plates after a vehicle transfer from NW to WP. If u dont have it they ask for a copy of a police entry. Cheers

Hi ppl... need sum advise on the same subject. even my March k11 (front) gives a noise when going on a bumpy road or over a hump. At the service centre I checked the rack ends and noticed that the (sumwhere next to the place it fits the wheel) grease nipple on the rack-end has cracked open. a friend of mine advised that i'd have to replace both rack-ends. Is this necessary? if so any idea how much it mite cost?
