Thanks man, really appreciate your thoughts. Actually the tappet noise I heard is not noticeable at all even for me it was hard and once I added the oil it stopped. I have added about 1ltr machan (see how I neglected the issue ) So what do you think about the leak machan? do you think it is the O ring?

Hi guys, I need an advise from you all. There is an oil leak under my the distributor of my EK3. I wonder this is due to the bad O ring what do you guys think? If I had to replace the O ring how can I do that? Can I do it by myself or should I get mechanical support? First I didn't take it serious coz its not a huge leak and im kinnda lazy to take my car to the garage , but recently I heard a tappet sound coming from the engine and I quickly added some oil and fix it temporary of course. I think its better to solve the problem before it get worse. So anybody have an idea to share my friends? Cheers, Mac

Wow... thanks mate for your information. I thought it really is the coil or something. Coz I check the speed sensor for a broken wheel. But the wheel is fine. And take the car to a guy for a check. He did some inspections by attaching wires and a bulb "No idea about what he has done". I forgot to mention one thing, sometimes the meter works and suddenly go back to 0 and some times it jumps and stop working. Do you still think its with the speed sensor? Anyways I think I must try the place that RABA told. what do you think? Thanks mate for your detailed respond.. really appreciate it

Hay guys, My EK3's speedometer is not working. First I thought its the sensor and I checked the sensor and its not bad. The service guy told me that its something with the cluster coil. Do you have any idea about this part and how much it will cost to replace? Mileage is also not working because of this. Most importantly I feel so sad that I cannot see the speed of ma baby when I drive. If you know a place to repair it please let me know. Cheers. Mac

hay, did you manage to find a manual? Coz I have downloaded one and I can send it to you if you need. Only thing is it says 1996 - 1998_Honda Civic Service Manual. Not sure if this help you. but if you need it just let me know.

No machan its not Vtec, and there is no drop of RPM or fluctuation. It comes when I change the gear. if it is something with the engine the issue must come even if I am not in a gear na? It came only yesterday. Today I traveled about 35kms and it didnt come, now the baby is running smooth. I am confused with this. I think it comes when I drive long distance, something with the heat. I dunno thats what I think am not a professional . What do you think bro?

Hi MKX, I dunno but I fells it is something with the gear box or clutch system. Because if it is an engine trouble it should come even if the gear is neutral. But in this case it comes when I shift, and when I press the clutch pedal it stops.

Hi Guys, My recently bought ek3 gives some engine miss sometimes . Actually it feels like something with the gear box, coz when I press clutch pedal the miss stops. I bought it last week and went to matara I found no issues with the car at that time. After that I gave it a proper service and some shock absorber bush replacements. Tody I came back to colombo and when I reach Kaluthara this issue came . I stopped the car and started after 5 min and it was ok. But again reaching Rathmalana issue came again, somehow I managed to go home but still worried about the matter . I don't know much about car issues guys, so can anybody please help me with this? I got the car today... Didn't had much time to check. Got some scratches on the body but no weird engine sounds,CV joints interior is in good condition but one door handle (Pull handle on the door) clips were broken so sometimes it comes out when I pull the door hope I can do something about that. And need to adjust the front doors thats what I noticed. Some images are here check it out. Ill upload some more may be tomorrow

Hi Friends, I am hoping to buy Civic EG8 VTEC model. I asked one of my friend about the model (He had the same model but not VTEC). And he told me not to buy EG8 since it is old now and no after sale market for that. Also he told me parts are bit expensive. But I heard Honda doesn't give frequent troubles. Can anyone please tell me about these rumors so that I can decide whether to buy it or not.
