Hi guys, I tried searching the net for a service manual for the car but couldn't. I saw some links in this forum but was not able to download them. Does anybody have a copy of one or know a place where I can find one.

Thanx alot guys, Could you give me contact details of Mitsu Mahinda, Euronippon and US car parts, because I not in or around Colombo. And Davy, I think I should try your suggestion about the hard board and the widow molding trims are only dented without affecting the shutter and the antenna is a center-rear one, which I hope will be available in colombo. I got all the basic repairs completed plus all oil replacements plus got two new tires etc,, etc for 80K which I think is very reasonable. will upload some pics.

Yes machan that's exactly what I meant - the piece of hard board, is damaged (probably by some dude or most probably his lady placing a heavy weight on it) Hope Mitsu Mahinda has a solution for the board, antenna and the shutter beading (the ones found just out side the front shutters). And about the pics,,, try to beleave me when I say that the day following the buy, I drove her a few rounds and dumped her off at the yard I mentioned earlier and asked them to repair/replace any prob parts. They called me today but didn't have time to get her. That's the reason for the lack of pics. I'm going there tomorrow and will give you guys an update. Hope all's well.

Machan, I think I've given you the wrong picture. I meant the wooden board which stays over the spare wheel area on which you have the velvet covering. The metal parts are quite OK.

sorry guys, Not quite familiar with forum subject. anyway I 'l be careful in future.

Hi guys, I have some queries with a new topic. 1.I feel that when doing routine replacements on any car, there are some parts which are Ok to be substituted with nongenuine parts but there are those key spares which should always be replaced with genuine parts. Which ones are they. 2.Is there any place/person who has genuine Mitsubishi parts for out market prices - in Colombo/Kandy 3.Are there nongenuine petrol filters for 2007 CS3s ? Kindly respond.

One RMV person told me that the new owner has to take the full set of transfer papers (MTA6-A.A1,B,B1 and MTA8-C,C1) for the one day transfer; But the guidlines say that the current owner should retain the MTA6-A,A1, arn,t the B and C copies enough for the one day transfer? One more querry, The petrol filter; do I have to get a gunuine one, if so the prive and if its available in the out marcket. Is it absolutely necessory for the tune up to be done at UniMo and if so what will the total cost be like, at present?

Hi, thanx for all the nice things said about this topic, but rest assured, I will continue to have more questions. 1.(non-mechanical) About RMV transfers of cars - In the recent past I have done a few vehicle transfers through an agent who takes the relevant documents and get done 'one-day transfers' - with an additional 4500/= charged as you know what. Since we have to spend a whole day for this and as I'm not from Colombo and as it's very difficult for me to find a day off for this and also because the RMV has a very very hostile environment, I did mot mind the extra 4500Rs. This time I got an affidavit from the seller as it was needed for the one day transfer, but the same agent guy is asking for 8000/= extra, and I paused. I also have a deletion letter from a leasing comp. issued just one day prior to the day I bought it. VIC is original. Does a tranfer by regular process take so much time and isn't there a quicker way for me to get the transfer with out comming to Colombo. 2.I think the car has done about 1,60,000Km. Do I need to replace the petrol filter as a must (or is it possible to assess its necssisity) at the tune up. If so, are there VIC or similar non genuine filters available. If not where can I get a good filter at the out marcket? 3. Could anybody give me the cost in detail for a tune up done at Unimo. (if doing it at Unimo has a sigificant impact) Thanx. You will be happy to hear that my CS3 climbs considerable elevations at third gear, which I thought was a good thing as the tune up is yet to be done.

Guess what bros, I got 2007 CS3 for 2.27M Having said that, I saw that on idle mode the RPM is OK, but when driven and braked it goes up just alittle bit - stays there for a bit and comes down. This may be the tune up problem. Anyways I'm happy with the deel, Got go and see the mech. guys for the rest.

Hi guys, thanx for the comments. Guess what....................................................................... I bought it for .........................................................................

thanks guys, this had been quite informative and it got me rid of the few doubts I had in mind. I will buy it shortly and get the things done early. I'm waiting to update you guys soon. And just to add I've had Alto x 2, Vitz, N16 1.3, Honda ES1, Tiida 2011 and had gone through good times and bad times with them, but never a lancer. Owning a Mitsu had been a wish I had, Hope I'll enjoy it. thanx again.

Wow, i think I'm lucky simply because I have joined such an intimate comunity. Thanx guys. This car has dual air bags, alloys and power shutters but no CD changer. To be more presise, with the owner's consent, I have taken the car to a well reputed automobile repaire/maintainance yard in town (not the local bass or the Unimo) where they put it up the Hoist, did a computer scanning, plus a test drive by an expert etc., and suggested the following, 1. Replace some suspension parts (certain bushes and the front shocks) 2. replace alternator bearing and brushes as there is a sound comming from the rasor 3. an engine tuneup (air cleaner seems OK) 4. Clutch replacement, proberbly in about 15,000Km 5. front tires Ok, back tires can do about 10,000Km 6. some adjustment in the brake pads as there is a lateral vibration felt when brakes applied on carpet road at avg speed, which they said will cost around 2500/= The timing belt had been replaced at 92000Km by Unimo - details available The body, interior and undersurface is Ok. No tell-tale signs of major accidents. And please note that this place is the best place in town which also includes the rates! And thats about it. Should I still feel lucky?

Hi guys, I'm new both to this forum and Mitsubishi. I am planning to buy a Mitshbishi CS3 2007 manual car for 2.3M, and am a bit worried about the price. I will have to spend about 60K for some maintainance repairs as it has done over 100000Km. Can anybody comment and advice, please? Thnx
