Vitara looks pretty good of that range. Though MG looks great, long term reliability and re sale value can be questionable. The same 1000CC boosterjet engine of Vitara shared with Baleno & Swift RS. Therefore, there should not be issues for spare parts / reliability. As I heard, Baleno & Swift give better fuel economy (12-15). As the VItara seems to be heavy compared to these two, any idea of its fuel economy? Is it required to pump 95 Octane always?

How about Suzuki Vitara 1000 CC boosterjet. I too, really interest on this. Any user here to give a review. Thanks

earlier tax for hybrids 70% ??? That means taxation costs another 10% from today for zero mileage used hybrid. & same for even nearly two years old one as depreciation table is no more. Any comment please....

could anyone tell me please a good reliable place (Colombo or sub urb) to check / change timing belt of my corolla 110. It has small oil leak from the engine and when serviced, their (mechanical) guy told it should be from oils seals near the timing belt assembly area of the engine. So I need to show to a good mechanic and correct. If need, change the timing belt too as I can't rely on odometer / previous owners. Thanks

+ 1 There is a household toxic chemical in all supermarkets though I cannot remember the name. I tried once and it perfectly worked for me. Try & see if u dont have pets.

Hi friends, This is a problem of my uncle's car. When I was driving it alone, I noticed that its pointer (KATUWA) of speedometer moves without responding to the real speed. Even first gear it shows around 60 kmph and at the top gear it shows around 150 or high. (real speed may be below 70). So I informed him immediately. He said it is a problem and has happened to him too. He said further, it becomes normal occationally speceally when U stop the car & restart. But this time it didnt correct. There was no any abnormality. So I would like to know what the reason if you know please. The car is Carina 212 (1999 as I remember) Regards..

I think most of guys who work here is not much professional. this is not a good place you to park the car & go away. Around a year ago I did so for a very small paint job & could not collect the car following day due to my personnal matter. When I went there to collect the car after three days, it did not start. Another guy inspected & said ditributor has gone. So replaced. Still can't start. then said ecu has fault. I did replaced as there's no solution. I'm pretty sure they have removed them. because the car was fine before park it there. & real beauti was when he was telling my ECU fault, he started my car by replacing ECU of a same model car which had parked there for another reason (its owner was not there). How we can guarant there professionalism. Be careful. Its top people may be not so. but they are not with ur car allways.

Never do this......... It will ruin any good parts of the power steering system and you will have to replace entire system. U can refill the level when it drops and better to show a good mech soon. may be small issue of either PS rack or pump. Good luck

You can select either ae 100 or 110 without thinking twice. (I mean spareparts/resale/fuel efficiency etc.) But I personally feel going for a 110 will be give you this pleasure for many years in the future if you are to use your car for a long time. because 100 modle is bit older to 110. Dear Experts, I have a small vibration in my AE 100/auto car. I appreceate ur valuble recommendations. I had to replace its distributor & ECU recently. (same modle recondition ones used). After that I notice small vibration after engine hot & AC on. Even when head lights on, this is noticed. No vibration when above electric items off. Here the idle speed just after start in the morning around 800 rpm & reduce to around 600 when hot. When AC or other electric items on, further reduce to around 500 rpm & start vibration in any gear position (with no accelaration). When they off, rpm increase & vibration disapear. I would like to know what the exact problem & how to fix it. And any good garage capable of doing this kind of repairs. Thanks.

Dear collegues, It's wonder that so many Susuki swifts are advertized these days comparatively at cheaper rates compare to other brands of cars. Even year 2004 one can find easily around 1.7-1.8 mil. How would you see this trend? Is that car not up to the expectation or difficult to maintain ?

Why it's called engine replacement is cheaper than engine repair Reliability of reconditioned engines available in the market Finaly whether the market value of the car decrease / increase after engine replacement. Thanks & appreceate your replies. Yes when start in the morning some smoke is there & disappear later. Also exaust end is slightly oily. So could I fix the problem by replacing worn parts ? What are those & approximate cost ? Thank you

I level up engine oil to the max mark during the service & after around 3000-4000 km, I noticed the level has gone down around 1cm. There's no any visible leak. What would be the reason & what should I do for this? Is it a costly repair? Thanks in advance.

Well said ! Auto is convenient & safe. But little expensive.
