I noted some 'intersting' comments coming out on my attempt to share the expereince. So, if I have hurt anyone, sorry about it, but here is what my driving exepreinces are: 1. In the morning when I start driving rpm goes around 2500+ at 60km/hr until engine hits the right temperatur 2. Once engine hit the right temperature, 60km/hr works with 1200+rpm (in my car) 3. Our road speed limits (as I know), 60km in built-up areas, and 70km/hr in other areas. I maitian this all the time -if not an emergency -then I would use emergency (hazard) lights. 4. I wish I could drive on left track, but alas ! they are occupied by all sorts of road users who travel 1km - <60km/hr range 5. While maintaining the given road rules, if anyone ask the way, I quickly give with safety in mind That's all I got to say...any other comments after this...you can enjoy. Bye,

Why should (or how could we) use more than even 1500rpm on our roads. If done, it will only make you break frequently. There are lot to learn on 'how to drive your car' <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> . The only time you may drive 2000+rpm is on inside the country outstaiton, when road is empty. Rgds

Hi, I just want to share my expereince on this matter. Finally I manage to bring my km/ltr back to its original status. In my post, I mentioned that I replaced old s-plugs with platimum (B**h) set. As I could not find any other cause to km/ltr drop aftger doing all that I took the car to agent (Toyota), and they did all checks (by their intelligent scanner) -nothing was wrong and all readings were as it supposed to be. But the service advisor sugessted to replace the platimum s-plugs with what is recommended by Toyota (Denso normal plugs), as the heat range is different (mind you my earlier mech. referred the conversion table -from Denso to B**h...not at all to say the latter is bad, ok) in what I had put. So, it seems that even if the conversion table is referred, this particular property of the s-plug was affecting the km/lt. Rgds,

Hi, My sugesstions are: 1. if you are not concerned about price that much -go for the agent, it will last another 5yrs probably 2. not advisable to buy used original, considering the nature of the item 3. there are many places, one good place would be Elcardo - Nawala Rgds

Paltunum & Iridium plugs last long and you get better performance too.

Thanks Sumith. I miscommunicated the pciture. It is like this...original 15+, dropped to 12.5, after repairs 13.5.

Hi, Can I pls have your expereince on below situation? Recently I did my petrol car (2005 model) throttle body + injector (manual cleanup not that can stuff) cleanup and replaced s-plugs with platinum plugs. Reason to do all that was, I used to get 15+km/ltr km/ltr but it dropped about by 3km/l. After doing all above it has gained about 1.5km/ltr. Car pulls smoothly. Any caused why it didn't get to original status. Thanks, Sorry I seem to have miscommunicated it. It should be read as original 15+, dropped to 12.5, then after repairs got 13.5+.

Hi, I too have noticed this sudden 'fuel behavior' for last couple of months. In my case I had done throttle body n injector cleaning, replaced s-plugs, but it still does not give km/l as it used to. I notice this sudden vsriance in fuel gauge. I wonder whether someone is playing us out on Petrol Rgds
