Heh hee.. it seems like Isuru is being pounded for his (un)radical choice of Axio X. NOT fair. he is entitled to buy an axio an vouch for other cars..

It is not possible to import an Axela 2010 model for less than 4 Mil at the mo. You could have done that 3 months or so back. But not at current auction prices and exchange rates. But still you should be able to import one for around 4.2-4.3 mil. Even for that amount, I'd say an excellent choice...

Don't give him false hopes Isuru. You can't import a 2007 Axela now for the cost that Ranmaal has imported. Now it is very difficult to find a decent 2007 Axela below 130 JPY. Last weeks tax for a 2007 Axela was 18.25. At the current ex. rate the cost is around 36.5-37. At the rate that JPY is appreciating it could go even higher. But still I agree with u that it is the best value-for-money car available today. BTW are u back in SL..?

I've been using a 2008 Mazda Axela for two months now. So can give u these points. 1. Best handling I've experienced in a car of same class. 2. Not the best in terms of fuel-economy. Does barely above 10 km/l in city traffic. Haven't had time to test in out-of-colombo traffic conditions. 3. Better interior and exterior styling than other models that you have mentioned. 4. Best value for the money in terms of looks, comfort,power and overall driving experience. 5. To give you the diff between Mazda 3 and Axela, Mazda 3 - 1600cc engine with 95 bhp Mazda Axela - 1500cc engine with 102 bhp (More power at lesser engine capacity, slightly more fuel consumption than 3.) 6. You wouldn't have to worry about the second hand value if u personally import one. (Bcos ur cost would be considerably less.)

Machan what's the spec of urs..? I got a 2008-Black one down 2 weeks back for the same price. Can u post some pics of ur Winered one..? Does anyone know how we can activate the factory fitted Navi in SL (Sala guys only use their equipment) or at least change the language to English so I can use the other features such as music from USB, SD and HDD..? By the way TV is also not working cos Japs are using NTSC instead of PAL...

Will let u know the details of spec and price once I get one to match my criteria.... Has ur dealer given a final price on that Axela yet....?

Machan change of heart after our quest after axelas today... Cancelled the order for this white one.. Planning to go for a different colour... If I shouldn't mess with the original body colour, then I might as well go for a different colour straightaway...

Not sure if this is the "Darin's GT-R" or not... but this is the first GT-R to set ashore on Sri Lankan soil... I took these pics of GT-R when I saw the pretty girl parked within the Colombo harbour's vehicle yard... So if Darin's one is still on the way, then this's got to be the first one..
