  1. I have driven more than 15,000km in my Prius YOM 2010. I'm used to calculate mileage per liter every time I refuel (regular gasoline - Oct90) and all the time it came to a close figure which is showing in the on-board computer. Figures I have achieved so far are; In Colombo city 21 - 23km/l and outstation 24-26km/l
  2. The Prius 3rd Gen does between 22 - 25 km/l as of my experience. No idea on Civic hybrid though
  3. Model: Prius (3rd Gen) Manufactured year: 2010 Engine Capacity : 1800cc Fuel type : Petrol Oct90 Transmission Type : ECVT Economy : (kmpl) city limits 21 - 24 (kmpl) Out stations 23 - 26
  4. Totally agreed
  5. nice joke. you have a good sense of humor
  6. lols>>>> it should be right, Axio is far better than 1000cc vitz in many aspects And also there are so many cars that are better than both Axio and Vitz.
  7. City + outstation just mean that I daily travel passing city areas as well as outstation, areas that do not have much traffic. If I more elaborate on this so called city area does include Colombo and other cities like Kiribathgoda, Kadawatha, Yakkala, etc. And less traffic area include distance in between those towns. So I hope you got that cleared. Anyway I accept that people who may drive only within the city limits in Colombo especially in high traffic times may not experience high fuel efficiency... All have confused what I have mentioned here. I only tried to share my experiences on my car and its fuel consumption especially because this thread is about "What is the Best Economical Car??" Now I'm really wondering whether I'm in a correct thread??? Oh poor "Big_D" he's trying to compare having children and using a car.. What a MANIAC he is ... To all others who have misunderstood me and criticized, I just have to say is, I only tried to share my experiences. And I know Axio is nothing especial but a good economical car, which I basically bought to travel from A to B. It provides me what I'm expected from it. What else should I expect from a car??? And it worth what I spend for .... And I think it's good to note that I do agree with most people in this forum who criticize ppl who buy Allions/Premio paying over 5 or 6 million thinking they INVESTED in the Best car in the world. They just fill the Bank A/Cs of Car Sales. Yes those cars are good but the prevailing market price is much over inflated..
  8. Thanks Uditha88. I'm glad at least one person in AutoLanka respect the truth. I can't understand why so many people in this forum do hate Toyota brand in general and insult people who claim a high fuel efficiency, etc on their experiences with Toyota's, perhaps which is far grater than their own cars do. As I think it's each individual's choice when buying a vehicle. Some may consider fuel efficiency, some may prioritize sportiness of a vehicle, etc. So it's their preferences. We should be able to tolerate others ideas especially in a public forum like this. Honestly I'm also not a loyal lifetime Toyota customer. Yes there are some arguable aspects in Toyota's like their conventional designs and, etc. But when come to fuel efficiency and reliability Toyota takes the leading role as of my experiences.
  9. I own a Toyota Axio and it does over 16km/l on average.. Including city + outstation. I'm still experimenting the actual fuel consumption with various driving styles. I think if anyone can be very light on the accelerator and be sensible when driving they could even achieve over that average and perhaps reach say about 17-18km/l as advertised by Toyota Japan... As I think air pressure of tires and wheel alignment are crucial factors... ( I keep tire pressure at 31psi wheel size is 14 inch. That may also have an affect on achieving the said fuel efficiency.. Service the car regularly using Toyota genuine oil although I'm not so sure about advantage using that specific oil) I can challenge anyone who claim that Axio's doesn't do over 12 km/l. Either they don't own an Axio or have an faulty car... But I accept one thing that Corolla Altis aren't efficient as Corolla Axio. Few ppl I know have Altis and that claim is true. ""Uditha88"" has mentioned that 141 doesn't have CVT. I don't know what he has meant by 141. That could be either Altis or Axio... Uditha88 pls do some research before stating some facts. Actually 141 both Altis and Axio does come with CVTi gearboxes except few models like 4WD etc..
  10. What do u mean by this? I couldn't reveal d real CIF not because anything else other than Tax issues. And be more rational. There are many things need to be considered like various other costs, risk, and most importantly time spent in importing vehicles when calculating others' profits, other than simply adding up CIF and Tax.
  11. Sorry Sylvi it is not appropriate to share such info in a forum but for ur consideration I'l giv a cue. I got this car a little higher price than commonly advertised CIF prices as the car was in very good condition, highly demanded colour and carefully used.
  12. For a last lap Axio Tax would be within d range of Rs. 15,60,000-16,00,000 depends on taxable options and as u all know JPY/LKR exchange rate
  13. I just cleared an Axio 2007 last lap. After d budged tax has reduced by about 3 lacks.
  14. I think Hyundai Tucson (latest model) gives value for money.
  15. it has clearly mentioned that taxes will be further reduced... So there's nothing to argue....
  16. Well done government.... Now what will happen to the buyers who have purchased vehicles at very high prices (some ppl have purchased 3 years old used cars at a price more than a same model brandnew price with fear of government increasing tax again) ultimately some Car sale frauds and Japanese used car auctioneers collected our ordinary ppl's hard earned money.
  17. Please read today's Lankadeepa news paper before arguing....
  18. So it's a good sign for ppl who are waiting to buy allion (2007/2008) cars. They will soon become well below 5mn. Also the Japanese YEN will depreciate in coming days as Japanese government is considering to lower itz value. It will also affect the cost of imports and force prices to go down. Letz hope for the BEST
  19. Car prices will certainly go down in near future as more and more ppl start to import vehicles on their own (personally) without buying at a high price from car sales. So car sales wil have to reduce their prices to a reasonable level. One of my friend just cleared a toyota allion NZT260 2007 black color car. As he told the total cost hasn't exceeded 4.4million.
  20. @ Harindraj77 So how can you justify the selling price of Allion NZT260(2007/2008) at about 5.4 to 5.8mn by car sales when the total cost would be at 4.3mn to 4.8mn And Axio X grades at 4.3mn where as cost wouldn't exceed 3.5mn
  21. no one has replied to my question here. I need to know the cost of a NZT260 allion as I'm going to buy a car sooner... But Car sales haven't reduced there prices as they should have... So when will they reduce it to ideal prices.. Will have to wait for months for that...
  22. @ evergreen, I think NZT260 should be around 4.2million(2007) to 5.6million(2010) range... Coz today I found a B/New 2010/06 Allion. it would be 5.7Mn. Still new stocks hasn't arrived to the market. So what will happen after that? Actually my budget is 5million if it is a good deal... I know that the current prices will further go down... So that's d issue.. @Ruslan Actually I concern only about the fuel consumption and the resale value.. So power for me is not relevant.. Also I saw some advertisements selling NZT240 (2006/2005- Premio/Allion) below 4million...
  23. Is it possible to find an unregistered NZT260 around 4.2 M
  24. I want to know the latest prices of Toyota Allion NZT260 YOM 2007 to 2010 seperately. AFTER THE TAX REDUCTION!! And what is the current market Value/ price of Allion 2006 Registered.. I know that still d second hand market haven't stabilized.. But what would be the price after stabilizing the market... Need to buy a car sooner...
