Vehicles For 6 To 7 Million For The Permit
toyota sucks replied to malla's topic in General Automotive
+1 for the A4 -
I was only saying what i thought when i looked at the 2 cars, the beemer iis very basic and the a4 is almost fully loaded, By the way could u look into that nice drls of the audi and say u like the beemer more.

Don't think that i'm praising hybrids by saying big descriptions. If u think so it's like a person thinking a naturally aspirated engine is better than a turbo because it has a longer name
-
If you need performance (at least slightly ) Sell that pice of cr*p and buy a march or simillar car that's what i did 7 yrs ago when my starlet could't come back home as it couldn't climb the mere 10degree slope to my house I'm talking about the 1.5 non turbo one here

if u'r concern about depreciation go for a vehicle used 3-5 yrs in sri lanka. Past the period vehicles depreciate the most. The same model were there at that time, and for the brand new budget u can go for a better one eg:- grand vitara, x-trail(new). By the way the terios is same as the toyota rush so the terios is also a toyota so from the 2 go for the terios

Actually as the car is hanging in the balance and the manufacturers have calculated every gram of the vehicle for it's dynamics it is very dangerous modifying it. Specially when it comes to the wheels if the diameter changes the indications will all go wrong and the car wouldn't be able to calculate when to switch on the engine (3rd gen). If the weight changes it will effect the dynamic breaking system and could lose contrall of the car. And the delicate wheel hubs would fail more quickly. that's why people stick to the ugly alloys in the hybrid civic compared to the normal one's. It's true that people fit new alloys to hybrids but they will change it's fuel figures increase maintenance issues I'd personaly not change the alloys of a hybrid There are a 1000 and 1 other reasons why u shouldn't modify u'r hybrid + make sure that u buy u'r hybrid with it's original rims too car sale will say they are original after fitting them here

Well i went and asked for an A4 and they asked whether i needed an avalon or cheaper one Enough joking i actually saw an A4 1.8T brought for the permit 1000 time better than the looks of the 320d. the only issue is it being petrol will it be hard to run. But the 1.8T is a very good engine, worth keeping u'r fingers crossed. If the diesel is offered definitely go for the A4 1.9TDi than the 320d. Can't compair those 2 if the A4 is haven the 320d would be hell.

Is Californican A Paid Stooge By Sri Lankan Hybrid Importers?
toyota sucks replied to VVTi's topic in General Automotive
So u calm down after using u'r p-use but i always get mad when i see one let alone driving one. By the way the petrolheads here who spend their time talking about cars love cars and do not use them as tools to go from A to B or as an investment to get more than they payed when they sell it (which wouldn't happen in the case of the p-use) So go else where manipulate some beetle chewing toddy drinking mudalali to swap their allion with a p-use. -
Yes 4 yrs back when i ordered a santafe my aunt in USA told i've done a blunder and that hyundai has got a bad reputation there also, But now all has changed she has also bought a hyundai new sonata selling her camry and my cousin is also bought a 2011 facelift sonata. But i think the translation will be slow in sri lanka as the people are obsessed in the resale of the toyotas and rightly so because the price we pay is not for the car but the taxes. But as the korean market devolops people will like it more and the market will increase and the resale will increase, so people who are only coserned about earning from their cars will also buy hyundai s and the market for japs will decrease. The transision continues European to Japanese to Korean so in a decade nice jap cars will be available for small cash like audi's vw's and volvo's now. If that happens i'd buy an 2010 allion then for Rs.1.5million

If u'd give me u'r real name address and signature i'll write it for u I good knowledge in microsoft word

I also wished this happened in sri lanka I know many vehicles distroyed by the pump eg- water was added kerosine used for petrol ect.. The only thing we can do is to identify a reliable shed but most people are very much missleaded As members of this forum we should tell the government to check the quality of fuel at our local pumps

The experience you've had under hybrids in other counties means you are going to open up a garage for hybrids Tha'ts the reason you promote them, so u can have more business, good tactic but we r not "konde bandapu chinnu", U'r knowledge (real or imaginary ) in other countries won't be much of use here as the conditions and problems that vehicles will face due to them will be different. Don't worry dude u will have a lot of business as the p-uses made for other climates will breakdown preretty soon. By the congratulations on u'r new business. -
That's cheap the cl**n p*rk guys charged me 35k for my santafe tint+clearguard and the clear tint inthe front windscreen reduces the glare specialy from those hids
-
2 of the users manuals of the cars i used told not to use fuel additives and it would effect the catalytic converter please explain this somebody. And if so is using extra premium petrol or extra mile diesel bad for those vehicles
-
As there was a problem regarding the 2nd point it is due to the price petrol vapor collected in the pump is calculated in the pump(according to my knowledge - a shed owner told me so)
-
Congratulations u have bought one of the most value for money vehicles Hyundai , kia) As the after 2006 models of these companies are well built u won't be having trouble for a long time. At that price the optima will be abetter competitor for brand new toyota allions and premios, the so called toad has better looks than the terios and other jap suvs of that size (i think its better than the rav4) but the tucson can be better looking.

Because u have a hybrid u r saying that the hybrid phrasing googler has more knowledge than an experienced. member in this forum. I'm also been blagarded a lot by the seniors but i know that we need to respect those who bring practical info to the forum, rather than idiots who copy and past web sites not relavent to our countries condition to promote his business. -
I had a Nissan x-trail with cvt yom 2001 no problems in the box for 130k(till i sold it ) For the primary question Go for the tida the interior(beige) is a pretty nice place to be in(compared to the belta) U won't get that interior look in the belta in the models of the next decade so u won't be selling it for a while so there will not be much concern about the resale(who knows what would happen then) As for the engine the tida's 1.5 will last longer than the 1L in the belta which would have to spit it's guts out to climb a hill

So i was going to share something i know is it bad, or is it prohibited for us to do this in the forum. I think this will be a valuable topic if the experts also posted their knowledge.

I'm not an expert in cars but i tough of explaining some facts before u fill up u'r ride. Experts additives please. 1)It is better to stop filling up when the pump stops rather than filling it to the cap. (i) Loss of fuel due to evaporation (ii)To get an accurate kmpl reading 2)It is better to pump more fuel at a time or fill after some one else has use the pump. (i) The evaporated petrol vapor in the horse after some time is accounted for 3) It is better to keep the tank at at least 1/4 full (i) to avoid dirty stuff entering. (ii) to avoid suction of air. 4) Check the octane needed (i) using 95 unnecessarily is a wast of money. (ii) if intermediate octanes are needed (eg-oc 91) use extra premium (oct92) 5) using the correct diesel (i) check the users manual of u'r car (ii) if u are using an engine oil with api ch or higher super diesel should be used as the normal has higher sulfur. 6) Fuel aditives shouldn't be used in Some vehicles with catalytic converters read the vehicles users manual

So if the new Thailand one is only doing 7.2kmpl is best for me to stick to my Japanese one that does 10kmpl in Colombo. Thanks for the info now I'm going to rethink about my decision to go for the new one.
