  3. - Do u have any idea whether Rav4 does better in fuel than CRV (8-9/L) ? I think x-trail is the worst in fuel out of these 3 as it does only 6-7/L max in colombo...
  4. Thats a good one... Thanks for ur comment....... May be that box shape is the Nissan’s uniqueness as they had continued the same with X-trail new model as well as the Petrol………………
  5. Hi ShintaroX, Thanks for ur comment.... but r u actually selecting x-trail based on my 3 criteria or r u showing some bias to a particular make?

  8. Jami, Machng Isn’t that u the person made this topic so complex…?
  9. Frankly I asked that question to stop others get mislead by unnecessarily get complicate their minds thinking the composition of air and the difference of that with Nitrogen. Whatever we fill in to the tire the pressure level we need to keep will not change. If we keep 28 with air simply we need to keep the same with Nitrogen as well. But if we use air for few days the tire pressure level will reduce a bit as water composition of the air will get evaporate. If v check our tire pressure once a week v will notice this. But if we use Nitrogen this reduction will not happen and same pressure level will remain for a longer time. If the logic is simple as this there will be no point getting complicate our mind unnecessarily.
  10. Jami, By the way u r commenting seems u knows a lot about this topic… I normally use the pressure of 28 with air, can u pls tell me how much of pressure level should I keep if I used nitrogen for my tires?

  12. There was a grees yaka incident happened in j’pura campus few years ago. That time campus guys were able to catch the one and treat him well. As I remember that yaka had come in a Nissan fb 14. He had parked the car near the campus wall, jumped in to the campus and appeared naked near girl’s hostel. He was doing that for several weeks by the time students were able to catch him.

    How To Lift A Carina?

Ya, I have to consider whether to increase the rim size or to increase the tire profile with the existing rim size…. There I’ll check ur point of the tire rubbing the wheel arch. In my case there are few reasons to look for better ground clearence, 1. Weight of the travelers are bit above the average 2. I mostly use shortcuts and by roads in bad condition as I always try to avoid the traffic of the main road 3. I was using wagons for several years and want to keep the same reckless driving pattern with this car as well.

    How To Lift A Carina?

Guys I have a bit strange question, ‘How to lift a Carina?’. I’m having a Carina Si and I’m looking for ways of lifting my car a bit to get more ground clearance. I’m anyway planning to replace front and rear shocks, but need to find a way of lifting the car bit further. Can u advise me abt any alternative ways of doing that? And abt pros and cons of doing so? Presently I’m using the original tire size of 185/65 R14, what will be the max rim size I will able to use with a normal profile tire? Will 185/70 R15 be a possible option? Further does anyone have idea abt prices of front and rear shocks (KYB or any other good brand) of carina AT211? Thanks!!
  17. How long have u been using ur Matrix? Suspension need to change every 100k km I guess.. ryt..? Do u have any idea abt current second hand mkt price of a 2001 GLS? Does Hyundai Lanka sell Matrix? Guys is GLS is the highest grade of Matrix??
  18. ___________________________________________________________ Thanks for the suggestion… Nope.. Im looking for a car or a jeep and it needs to be auto gear… a van will not give the decent look Im expecting..
  19. Hi frnds, I’m looking for a car with good ground clearance and inside space (leg space) for a price around 1.35mn. Petrol consumption also needs to be at least 9km/L. One of the options available at the moment is Hyundai Matrix (2001 – GLS)). I know that Hyundai’s does not have a good second hand market but have to consider this option based on my main concerns mentioned above. Please advice me whether this will be a good decision… What is the normal second hand mkt price of this vehicle? Does this model has spares available in the market? How’s avg petrol consumption? Will that be a good investment for another 2years? Any other alternatives which suits my requirement? Thanks in advance…
