Hi Everyone. Hope you guys are well and sound. Just found out that JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) has announced, that it will stop production of its DEFENDER Model in 2015. The firm has said the decision to cease production was " mainly Legislation based" Beacuse it wil not meet new europen Laws on fuel emissions. Please let me know your thoughts and comments.

Hi Everyone. Just read a papper article which was published in Daily news (Sri lanka) on 2nd APR. 2013. Its says there will be a LAND ROVER ASSEBLY PLANT at Habantota. Bit hard to believe it but happy to hear. Does anyone know whether is true? Nothing mentioned on LANDROVER WEB. . for me its too good to be true that LAND ROVER will approve it. Hi Everyone Thank you for all your feedback. After 02 weeks of research and running around, I managed to find a contact who got all the genuine kit to convert my Defender pick-up to a 5 door. Asking price for the complete kit with all the seats etc... is RS 2.8 . Do you guys think its worth it? Further, I managed to confirm that there 02 different HS codes at customs when its come to clear the Pick-Up. If you go for the cheaper HS CODE you will be issued with a "L" Plate= Lorry . Then you will have a problem to convert in to a 5 door. "P"=Dual Purpose will cost you bit more to clear through customs but you will have no issues to convert the vehicle as you wish AS LONG AS BODY IS NOT GOING THROUGH A CUT AND WELDING Job.

Hi Guys First of all, VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you. I have just imported a Defender 110 single Cab. Thinking of converting it to a 5 door CSW. Anyone knows or could recommend a place who will sell the Body parts and so on?

Hi First thing is First. You will have to contact the Mitsubishi dealer in SL and get the Agent value(FOB) for this model. Have the Vehicle Model, Engine capacity and year of manufacture ready before you call them. the agent value will include Freight and the Insurance.(They may quote you $ or Yen). Once you have this let me know the Date of first Registration in the UK along with the FOB. I will workout the total Custom clearance chargers for you. All the Best
