I purchased a toyota vitz couple of days back, & the seller adviced to change the transmission oil, the milage of my vehicle is 20000 & is it necessary to change the transmission oil & hw often does it need to be changed & also i wud like to knw roughly how much it would cost for it & if there're any varities of transmission oils.

Can i also know if they will provide the CR & the number plate on the same day of submission. Coz after the increase of the registration fee, there's no one day service as such...if we pay the registration fee we can collect the the stuff but wat am not sure is if it can be collected on the same day

Thanx all for the information & it really helped me, the charges for a new vehicle registration is 18500/= Jan onwards, btw do not count on 1919 coz da info that they provide most of the time is incorrect. When i checked with them abt the registration charges, wat they told me was its rs. 4500/= which is absolutely incorrect.

Hi, I hv bought a re-condiotioned toyota vitz 1000cc & i asked the vehicle importer to get the registration & revenue licence thing done for me & I waz told da chrges for the first time registration wud sum up to 27k which includes (18-for purely registration/3k-revenue licence & green test/5k-for something like new registration or whatever & 1200 for number plate) I waz a bit confused coz the amt looks way too much, but didnt question abt it coz i too waz not sure, so please help me if these charges are genuine if not i wud like to knw da actual charges as i heard that they hv increased da charges from jan onwards. pls help

Thanx for the responses, however what i need is not infor abt how to import da vehicle. Anyways i will be buying da car driectly once it arrives....no L/C methods involved. Basically its like am buying it from a car seller directly. So what i need to know is wat r the documents that i need to obtain from the car seller when buying a re-conditioned car.

Hi, I am planning to purchase a unregistered vehicle (Toyota vitz) from a person who will be directly importing the vehicle from japan. Hence, i need some help as what documents I need to obtain by the car seller since am not aware of it. Since i am obtaining a loan the bank required the following doc's. However, i wud like to know if there're any other doc's required from the seller apart from the below list which is not included here. Pls Advice. Valuation Report/Transfer Forms/Vehicle Identification Card/Auction grade/Any Tax sheets if involved/A letter stating that the car will be sold to me, signed and stamped by the seller/A blank MTA6 Signed/Duplicate Keys
