Anyone knows roughly the price of 5 series F10

Even if the cc limit is increased with the current CIF limit the options will not change much...My personal opinion is to buy ASAP, because these permits were passed in the parliament in Dec 2010..These were issued mainly for people who missed out on the opportunity on the 2007 issue, due to early withdrawal. Its June already and these might expire by August/Sept. So why would the government increase the limit on the permit. Not that the country is significantly prospering either.Anyway the options are not increasing anymore, but certain dealers have discontinued offers, indicating that they have info as to when these will expire.Good luck to those speculators.

Hey man is this for the permit that you are trying to bring down these vehicles. Well both vehicles are good. The problem with the BMW is they offer e90(the 4 door sedan), which is expected to be replaced by the F30 i think. If that happens anytime soon; well If I were you wouldn be that happy. Any how check out both vehicles and see what trim options they offer. Are you sure the Merc is offered brand new for the permit, bcos last time I checked they only offered the A class. Depending on the options they offer choose the vehicle you want. In my opinion since both are entry level go for the Merc bcos it will be more noticed than the BM. Well thats what I think, hopefully you'll get the better vehicle. Good luck mate

The LR 2 especially the 2008-2009 models seems to have had a fuel pump problem and some issue with the power steering. Probably not anymore in the 2011 models. Well more sophisticated the vehicle is there is a higher tendency for faults. Some people don't maintain the vehicles as required, but at the end of the day complain about malfunction which is ridiculous. The bad reputation earned by the Freelander 1 is still creating doubts in the buyers mind with LR2; no surprise there.

If I were to buy a BMW I'll definitely go for the 320i then....It may be expensive to pump the fuel, but personally believe; that does not outweigh the driving pleasure and comfort.

A friend of mine had got an estimate of around 5.5 million on the c180. Not entirely sure of this though.

There is a lot of ambiguity as to how the taxes work out. This is creating a lot of confusion and its a big disadvantage for the consumer. I think it will be very helpful if someone who's capable on this forum clarify this for us by contacting the relevant authority.Thanks in advance.

You have a point there too.But if you read the government circular you have attached in the section terms and conditions (d) the permit holder is required to pay only VAT,PAL,NBT AND CERTAIN PERCENTAGE OF EXCISE DUTY IN ACCORDANCE WITH ANOTHER CIRCULAR.But the tax structure effective on a ordinary citizen is composed of many other tax components which is consistent with your explanation. This is what has confused me.

what do u mean by discontinued...(from production or being sold under the permit)...Well i disagree because that has been awarded the best mid size SUV internationally..after ford has taken over land rover the new freelander 2 is very good in build quality and performance..it seems to not have any of the reliability issues the first version had several years ago...land rover has introduced the new range rover evoque which looks like a UFO to me...despite that lr2 is the entry level serious off roader from land rover, i dont see any reason for land rover to discontinue this model.

The fortuner that will be brought down is a 2.5 diesel..this is a seriously underpowered vehicle..if someone is considering buying an X1 they should also checkout the 2011 lr2..it looks pretty impressive and the four wheel drive HSE td4 is offered when i checked last..

Thanks for the info kaushma..thats very interesting..well i corresponded with the land rover agents sometime back...may be they were playing me out..the options available to the permit holders seem to be growing with many permit documents being released these past few days...
