So All R series engines (R18 and R16) are i-VTEC ? How about the others ?

Can anyone help me identify the VTEC components in this pic ( its my friends FD1 engine,, it also doesnt have the VTEC engraving on the engine )

Need some help guys.. Am looking at getting down a FD1-1800CC (2008) from Japan. The car i selected does not have the wording 'VTEC' on the tappet cover as in the case of most 1600 CC engines i have seen... Is this because FD1 domestic models do not have the VTEC engraving on the tappet cover, or is it that some cars come without VTEC ? Can anyone tell me how to identify VTEC by the engine components...
