I think the isuzu engine your'e referring to would be the 4JB1. Yes it has plenty of power. But it might not be the best bet for the LT77 box as it might wear it out quicker than normal due to the extra power.
IMO With some mods an R380 should be better equipped to handle the 4JB1
Do I see the middle row door handles key barrel hole 'un-blanked'. If so get it blanked out or at least put some black silicone to blank it out. Otherwise washing her down will get you plenty of water inside the door frame... Not good.
They are on the High Level (main) road itself.
From Nugegoda junction proceed towards Maharagama on the high level road (138 bus route) - You can ask any jhonny on the raod and they will direct u
Its good if the de-merit system works and enforces some discipline on the roads. But if experience is something to go by it will just be another soda-bottle opening !
I'm sure all our members would have noticed the situation where at traffic light stops, some motorists (specially the 2/3 wheel variety) dont stay in line and overtake all the vehicles on the 'wrong side', while the traffic cops turn a blind eye !
I agree, the unmolested and good condition vehicles always command a premium.
My 12J price range was based on the fact that a friends 12J ("turboed") Soft Top could not fetch the expected minimum of 2.2 about a year back.
Price would depend on the engine I would think.
I reckon the current rates are about
12J 110 - 2.0 to 2.5 Million
19J 110 - Similar to above
200Tdi/300Tdi - 2.5 to 4.0 Million
TD5 - 4.0 to 5.0 Million
Puma - More than the above !!!
There is quite a bit of variation in the prices due to condition/history/accessories etc.
As mentioned earlier Parts availability and Expertise are not a concern.
Best of luck

Other than the engines which are supposed to be solid, how about the rest of such a 10 yr old car being up to the job and what sort major work might I be faced with ? (assuming I get my paws on a well maintained one)
Finally back on line...
I gather the asking price for 2000 YOM A4,A6 1.9TDI is about 2.6
At this age are these cars beyond their prime, or as RR as mentioned, if well maintained are they good for quite a few more years of service ?
HI All,
I am new here and this is my first post.
Am currently looking at buying an AUDI (A6 or A4) preferably diesel... second hand
Any ideas what the going rates are these days ? and some useful advice on what to look out for and the 'ownership experience'
Thanks in advance
