The manual will be much responsive for sure. Can't expect a huge price difference between a manual and an auto in this kinda saloon.

Hybrid cars don't drive exactly like the cars we've been driving for decades. For one thing, the idle-stop technology is often noticeable and can (at times) be a bit clunky. And finally, hybrid cars are just not performance cars. Not yet, anyway. Quick acceleration and blistering top speeds are not on the hybrid's list of pluses. The hybrid car range includes SUVs. How many people really need? Role of buying a hybrid and off-road environment seems a bit illogical. Do not buy unless you absolutely can not do without good reason.

civic is renowned for its performance, so does it make any sense to fit a 1.3ltr ? Trucks are a different story.

Whether the hybrids will do good or not, fitting a 1.3ltr with IMA in that CIVC is really bad for the reputation of that car cause, there are 1.6's, type Rs running with the same body figure, which will accidentally fall into that category. Civic (Hybrid) face won't go with the 1.3ltr engine.
