  1. I would recommend taking it to a repair shop that is familiar with these european engines. Try Ruwan at Vishwa Motors. They specialize in Audi's and VW's.
  2. Honda Civic FD1 would be a good option as well.
  3. Have you tried swapping the left tire with the right ? If its an issue with the tire, your right side would be doing the same after swapping. you should be able to narrow down the problem. if the left still shakes, then it might not be the tire and would probably be a wheel bearing or a Tie Rod end. It could also be lower arm bushes or Ball joints etc.
  4. Thanks VVTi, i will try contacting him...
  5. here is another view of the tranny http://www.jimellisaudiparts.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=748101
  6. mine is a A4 B6 model. yes there is a filter inside however there is no pan to remove. in order to change it I need to strip the tranny. the below link will show the bottom of my tranny. http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=2853167
  7. Hi VVTi. no i did not change the filter because this particular transmission doesnt have a pan in the bottom. The transmission needs to be stripped to change the filter. Thanks for the info .I will PM Supra Natural. you are correct the Passat and the Audi are almost identical.
  8. I also should mention that once the initial hard shift to drive is complete the transmission runs smoothly.
  9. Hi Everybody, This is the first time im posting on AutoLanka. I have a 2003 Audi A4 with a Multitronic (Automatic Tiptronic) Transmission. I believe its a CVT Transmission. Im currently having rough shifting issues in to first gear. Specially when taking off from a stop stand still position. it jerks and hard shifts in to drive. need to get it repaired. Im thinking may be the friction plates are worn out. is there anyone who specializes in Audi transmission repairs. who will have the rebuild kit (if Required) in stock. Ive changed the transmission oil twice. Car has a mileage of 180000km. 1.8t engine. I also should mention that once the initial hard shift to drive is complete the transmission runs smoothly. Appreciate your help.
